The problem I run into is having someone lower level in the guild that I have never seen in my life start spam whispering for help. I know it's not someones alt because they probably would have said so in the first place. Never ask for help from the people in the guild you just joined to run stockades for you until you've had some sort of conversation with the people in the guild. You'll usually end up with some weird ass stories of why I can't help at the moment and you will not be on my priority list to help the next time you ask.
