I like to help people, but I agree that help, for me, means answering questions and directing people to where they can find information or how they can do things on their own. I'm a casual player with lots of alts and my highest leveled character is 60. Because of my alts, I've played through the lower level content for all the races multiple times and I usually have a good idea of how to answer questions asked in general and I happily do, and will take as long as it needs to make sure the person gets it. The flip side of that though, is since I am casual, I don't have a lot of playing time and I also don't have a lot of gold. At least, I have enough to meet my own needs, but not to throw around to every beggar in town. It amazes me that people regularly expect people to just give them money or to drop what they are doing and go well out of their way to help someone else finish their own task. But that's because when I play, all my time is dedicated to accomplishing my tasks and then I log out, I don't really spend any downtime in the game.
