New glyphs incoming soon
Eyonix chimed in on the General forums earlier to say that we'll be seeing new glyphs soon. It's just a small line, but it should be good news for all tradeskills. It's very rare for them to add a significant amount of items to one tradeskill in a content patch and leave all of the others untouched. Personally, I think it's a good sign that we'll be seeing a lot of tradeskill love in patch 3.1, but maybe I'm reading into it too deeply.Even if we're in some crazy world where only Inscription receives tradeskill love, this is interesting news regardless. We might be seeing more glyphs incoming for a lot of our Wrath of the Lich King abilities that weren't given glyphs, so we could experience the base abilities before we started augmenting them. It wouldn't surprise me at all if we started seeing things like Glyph of
As soon as the PTR comes up, we'll be hitting the trainers and reputation vendors to see what is coming our way, so keep an eye on WoW Insider for all of that good stuff once it happens.
Edit: Shhh. You didn't see that. It has a line through it, that means it didn't happen.

Glyph of Frostfire Bolt? You mean like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44684?
Alex Ziebart Feb 19th 2009 5:20PM
Yeah, I don't play a Mage and searched Wowhead for "Frostfire Bolt" assuming a glyph would pop up if one existed, and there wasn't so I rolled with it. That was my mistake. In this situation, a less specific search term would've served me better.
I apologize for the screw up, but I think generally the suggestion works out fine. I just happened to pick the wrong spell. ;)

I remember a blue post hinting at new gems in Ulduar. Im guessing the epic gems will be a-dropping :D
Jack Spicer Feb 19th 2009 6:40PM
I would be surprised to see epic gems introduced in 3.1. Wrath hasn't even been out for half a year.
Licister Feb 19th 2009 5:13PM
Oh noes I lost too much time making sure the glyph of Frostfire already existed :( Now everyone has mentioned it
cjshrader Feb 19th 2009 5:15PM
Wait, did anyone mention that Frostfire already has a glyph?
elstor Feb 19th 2009 5:39PM
I don't think so, so I'll make sure by saying
Glyph of Frostfire already exists Alex
silverdragon Feb 19th 2009 5:53PM
I think i'll be the 1st the mention it to him.

Profession upgrades would be awesome, but the only one that seems like its maxed out is alchemy.
Sure they can put out new stones, but all of the elix and pots that were discoverable seemed to cover every stat I could think of. Any ideas on what recipes they could even add?
Kemikalkadet Feb 19th 2009 5:53PM
A decent flask for tanks.

Ahh there is plenty of options.....
Fun Poitions:
Slug - Creates a slug in bottle , when you drop it on the ground the slug will folow the nearest person around.
Glow- potions wich makes you glow in many colours
Ordinary poitions:
Condenced light - (must be created day time) that would be stronger ruinic poition but would benefit from + spell power .
condenced strengh- the same as light but must be created in combat.( or so) and benefits from AP
and so on ( i am just to lazy to write more)
most if the new poition should be alchemy only.
Recreat some old ones like imolation poition or invisibiliy.
A non combat pet :) slime like..
And i would like to see people throwing glass, bottles on the ground for some effects like:
Holy Water- heals friendly targets for xx amount in the earea and deals xx amaount damage to undead ( or enemy).
and so on... cmon there are hundred of options :)
Moo Feb 19th 2009 7:42PM
I like the Holy Water suggestion! Of course it should only be usable by Holy Paladins. Thank god I am one...
edit: oh yeah, i guess holy priests too...whatever.
MightyMuffin Feb 19th 2009 10:57PM
I like the Holy Water idea too. One problem though...
Too many people using a macro that uses that ability, and /yells
"THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!"
