Several hotfixes now live
I caught this a bit late, but Bornakk wrote into the Service Status forums Wednesday night to provide a list of hotfixes concerning Jewelcrafting, Shamans, Rogues, and Death Knights that have been applied to the live realms:- Icy Prisms are now unique; they cannot be mailed but can still be traded.
- The Rogue ability Mutilate now does its appropriate damage based on talents.
- Raise Dead now properly detects the presence of Corpse Dust in your inventory.
- The Glyph of Windfury Weapon will not apply additional attack power.
- A Grounding Totem is now properly destroyed even if the grounded spell did not do damage.
- Tremor Totem now properly pulses every 3 seconds.
- Crippling Poison now has a PvP duration of 10 seconds.
- Wound Poison now has a PvP duration of 10 seconds.
Rogues had observed on the forums that Mutilate was doing significantly more damage than was intended by the fix in patch 3.0.9, and that may have been the result of buggy interaction with the Dirty Deeds talent. Glyph of Windfury Weapon had, for a few interesting days, reverted to a beta version granting attack power on Windfury procs. Most of these look like pretty straightforward bug fixes, with the exception of the one concerning Icy Prisms. Much to the everlasting sorrow of my e-wallet, I don't have a Jewelcrafter -- can someone tell me what effect the Icy Prism change is likely to have (if any)?

I'm assuming the Icy Prism thing is to stop people buying the Prism cooldown and if it contained a goody (Like a Dragon's Eye) getting traded a Prism the JC already had that contained jack squat (Oh joy! Another sodding Forest Emerald! Because those sell well!).
Thus this change is positive for decent JC's looking to sell their cooldown of an Icy Prism.

Being a jewelcrafter is really bitter sweet. I get to use 3 stupidly awesome gems, but as a hunter I don't get to make a trinket for myself thats worth half a crap. Icy Prims cost a lot to make on my server since the orbs go from 35-80g a pop and the thing drops 2-3 gems. The daily to get tokens bit sucks, the making prisms unique is just annoying, I liked stockpiling them and then having a fun little time opening them and getting a crap ton of gems after saving for a week.
And now i have 3 colors of uncommon gems that are just stockpiling...
Of course I never sold my CD, or even seen people buying them, I just kept it for myself. I sure do miss brilliant glass.

I know people have said this in the past, but just separate PVP and PVE already.
I mean if they're going to go and put something like changing the duration of poisons in PVP only...then why not just do it for all abilities? Is it really that hard to come up with separate traits for abilities for PVP?
This is the only way to shut ppl up so ppl that want to PVE only can PVE and PVP only can PVP or switch in btw without complaining about their burst or DPS etc etc. It would also give locks, priests and whoever a chance to perform equally on both sides of the playing field and then maybe we can see some variety in the top 20 list instead of DK/PALLY, DK/DK, and PALLY/PALLY.

Well I'm kinda glad I leveled my lock to 80 over my rogue (old main). At least locks have been fine for pve even if they suck in pvp. Rogues were gimped in pve damage (mainly combat) and while that is being fixed they keep getting nerfed in pvp. I'm sure in 3.1 that locks are just gonna get some knickknack stuff for pvp and at the rate the nerfs are rolling in for rogues, they are gonna be wearing cloth.
Glad I have a 73 Pally to fall back on, since he will probably be the only decent class to pvp on (that I have leveled) after everything is said and done.
World of Platecraft at its best!

37- "While I might not PvP a lot with my DPS classes, I don't think I've ever played a class that can kill another class by spamming a single button. So when is this Xbox 360 version of WoW going to be released?
All jokes aside, I'm not sure I understand the logic behind the poison "nerfs" by 2 seconds. Oh well. "
/sigh maybe you just need to pvp more if you havent seen ppl being bursted down in globals or maybe just l2p because rogues destroy anyone who is not in plate atm (dunno how do shamans hold up against rogues atm? dont know any good ones to ask)
As for the 2 seconds off crip it will help but it will not come anywhere near close enough to fix rogues vs priests atm because the problem is not being able to escape good rogues nevermind getting the poison to wear off.

When since TBC have priests been able to take out a good rogue?
A little nerf here and there add up over time. Since TBC, I remember the big nerfs of AR/Prep, Cheat Death, Shadowstep, Mutilate and now poisons(little nerf). Why do rogues have to keep getting nerfed to have no chance against plate just because somebody decided to roll a Cloth class knowing that they will have problems with any decent rogue? DK's and Pallies haven't really been touched, but rogues keep getting shafted a little at a time.
A correctly played rogue isn't a "1 button class" and out of the classes I play, the pally is the easiest and the most deadly.

I never said correctly played rogue wasnt a 1 button class but you will still find idiots who can sit there spamming mutilate and then the odd stun and beating much better skilled players that have no chance to do anything.
"A correctly played rogue isn't a "1 button class" and out of the classes I play, the pally is the easiest and the most deadly."
Rofl yea they are easy to play but most deadly? hell no rogues poisons + stuns + clos + interupts when all combined can completely lock a healer out.
"Why do rogues have to keep getting nerfed to have no chance against plate just because somebody decided to roll a Cloth class knowing that they will have problems with any decent rogue?"
Why role a rogue if you know your going to not be able to beat plate classes? o see what i did thar! - that sort of answer gets peope nowhere what needs to happen is overall burst toned down and for poisons to be dispelled/ignored by priests either by fade imunity or just a dispel poison ability.

Rogues dont need anymore nerfs! i had a full deadly gear rogue and i was getting whooped by ret pallys and dks in savage gear! and i am a very good rogue. i know how to chain my stuns. but since the mut nerf i dont even play with the rogue no more. all our offensive abilitys are nerfed and blizzard didnt give us no defense to compensate. now poisons are getting nerfed again, we no longer have the option of removing bleed effects and now more classes are getting bleed effects... how is a rogue to survive? can anyone deny that rogues die the fastest compared to any other class? if blizzard is going to nerf all offensive abilitys itleast give us some defense! like a 2 sec immunity from all dmg after casting vanish so we dont get hit right out?
