Introducing Ursula McWeaksauce and the Shirt of Uber

They have it so you essentially don't have to bring over your bank alt. It's a rather nice little vendor.
But now, there is going to be another one added it appears, named Ursula McWeaksauce.
Ursula McWeaksauce is going to give out the Shirt of Uber, which will increase your item's statistics to bring them up to full Ulduar gear level.
Put on the shirt, become uber, just like Arnold.
Ursula will make her debut appearance when Blizzard is getting ready to test the hard mode of Ulduar. We can't wait to see what the shirt does exactly. It will no doubt be uber.

Dear First,
Thank you for your comment, it was a great contribution to the subject matter. Now if you will please go die in a fire, and I hope you don't already have any children to pass on your stupidity.
Zul Feb 24th 2009 5:09PM
LMAO.
This is a stupid idea. It is just like giving 25 random puggers full T7.5 and ilvl 226 epics, and the asking them to go do Sarth with 3Ds. 1 out of hundreds of attempts will succeed.
The Skeptical Guy Feb 24th 2009 5:20PM
I wish they'd make the title of Twilight Vanquisher unnattainable in 3.1
It would be really sad to see a bunch of nobodies who pugged Ulduar25 walking around with the title.
It's as if they gave out Hand of A'dal for killing Loken.

While I agree with you on the 1 out of 100 will fail...
Do you have a better idea to rapidly test the content?
What, keep the PTR up for long enough for some progression guild to form, farm all of the Uluar 10 man content, then the Ulduar 25 man content SO THEY CAN THEN ATTEMPT THE HARD MODE ULDUAR 25 man content?
Me, I would like to see the content before I die of old age ;-)
Azhural Feb 24th 2009 5:25PM
I have to disagree with you, Zul. To test the content it has to be at least in someway possible to kill the boss. If testers will just get oneshotted, Blizz will never know if the bosses are working as intended from 100% to dead.
lbizzle Feb 24th 2009 5:36PM
I think you are somewhat missing the point.
Firstly, Sarth3D was completed long before raid resets would have allowed for anywhere near that quality gear. As a fight, it revolves around good cooldown use, fair dps and good positioning. It's not nearly as difficult as you claim.
Secondly, this means that Blizzard can simulate raid resets and gearing up much faster than usual. This means that good groups ie. the guilds that will get world firsts, can test content very specifically to Blizz deadlines.
Also, what harm does it do to give people who have spent a lot of time and effort to get on the PTR some good gear? Even if a pug fails, they can have a good time and probably be just as valuable bug testers as elite guilds; it doesn't hurt anybody.

It is a TEST REALM for chrissakes. It's purpose is to test stuff, so we get the best possible release on the live servers.
So who freaking cares if random nubs get fancy epics or not as "The Skeptical Guy" above seems so worried about.
If Blizzard thinks it helps them test stuff, then it does.
If it helps the testing, yes it is a brilliant idea.
Waaaaay too many people think the PTRs are some kind of toy to lol around on with no intention to actually help test stuff.
Todd Feb 24th 2009 5:17PM
Heh.
Todd Feb 24th 2009 5:22PM
Yeah, I know... I'm a douche.
Superthrust Feb 24th 2009 5:26PM
i don't know about you guys, but i think the funniest thing that could happen is they put in the vendor, and everyone bum rushes it to buy their shirt for EZ mode....
...and the shirt costs 15 THOUSAND gold...
lol...i would laugh hysterically...
miko Feb 24th 2009 7:50PM
no one gives a toss what anything costs on the PTR because your money is copied from your live account and the two aren't connected ie. you can blow all your cash on the PTR and it means absolutely nothing in the long run.
hell i had a guy give me 50k once because i asked to borrow a some gold for travel costs on a low lvl while i was waiting on transfer (guy said he was a millionare)
PTRs are for testing, the shirt is for bosting your T7 to T8 level so you can test the Uldaur hard modes which are balanced around full T8 which you can't get because all the T8 bosses aren't opened up.
any resentment people might have about people being able to get such a thing on a PTR is extremely misplaced and completely STUPID given what the PTRs are actually for.
kr3wman Feb 24th 2009 5:27PM
Unique to the PTR people.
email Feb 24th 2009 5:36PM
Can't anyone read? This is on the PTR only for testing. This will not be in game. Ugh.
Jay Feb 24th 2009 6:03PM
Untill Activision realise they can sell them for real cash...
nyctef Feb 24th 2009 5:42PM

Todd Feb 24th 2009 5:44PM

Best Arnold quote outside of his bodybuilding stuff:
"I have a love interest in every one of my films - a gun."

@Todd
No, I think that was a Scrubs reference --

Gnosh Feb 25th 2009 8:30AM
That's doubly funny, because the guy named Todd completely missed a reference to a character named The Todd
