first, also the lack of new engineering goggles makes me sad
Malkia Feb 24th 2009 11:24AM
Maybe they just haven't found the engineering recipes? There has to be more than one...right?
ezmode Feb 24th 2009 2:10PM
The amount of people who are stupid enough to post "firsts" makes me sad...
Andrew Feb 24th 2009 6:55PM
The lack of new alchemist stones makes me more sad!

rewind Feb 24th 2009 11:28AM
Yes, exactly, wtf
Shawn Feb 24th 2009 11:28AM
Hey don't hate, it's level 49 ;) Cutting edge crap right there!
Mysty Feb 24th 2009 11:29AM
It's level 49, not 45
Shardrell Feb 24th 2009 11:30AM
Hey, looks like we might be getting another craftable engineering non-combat pet, too!
(I'd love to bitch, but honestly, if I wanted a useful profession, I wouldn't have been an engineer since launch :) )

So a tiny spell powerboost to flexweave, and a bit of armor? Nothing for Melee? Nothing else eh?
Sad. So what's good for ENH Shaman, other then JC (Which I all ready am).

"Sad. So what's good for ENH Shaman, other then JC (Which I all ready am)."
Leatherworking.
Bracer enchant, some leveling gear, and drums. Those drums are still good at level 80.
Alchemy.
Alchemist stone allows a lot of play room including having 3 different types for different specs. Mixology is very nice for elixirs and flasks. Being able to make mats for your JC is also a useful bonus.
Blacksmithing.
You can make the gems, why not have even more of them?
The extra boost from those gems for getting meta requirements and having the gems you can make should be worth it.
I kinda had been hoping the tinkers would just become a bonus, like the extra sockets blacksmiths have, instead of replacing an enchantment.
Ichthus Feb 24th 2009 11:23AM
There are actually 2 other Engineering recipes. One is a tanking tinker that can be tossed onto a set of gloves to add 400 armor. The other is a cloak spellpower enchant that doubles as a parachute cloak.
They're 380 and 400 Engineering... don't remember which is which.
Ichthus Feb 24th 2009 11:37AM
Here are screenshots of those two engineering patterns.

Some of the recipes call for Runed Orbs, I think it's obvious this is the upgrade from Frozen Orb. Not sure what gems are going to come out of a Black Diamond considering it's a low level item.
Malkia Feb 24th 2009 11:33AM
I wonder if they'll be an Ulduar only drop....
splice42 Feb 24th 2009 11:28AM
Wow. How nice. Leatherworking, Tailoring and Blacksmithing get epic lvl 80 recipes. Engineering gets a neat toy.
What does Alchemy get? A fricking lvl 15 potion that no one will use. Awesome.
akw Feb 24th 2009 11:49AM
Alchemy doesn't need buffs at this point. My main is an alchemist. Elixir mastery, the trinket, and mixology all combine to make an extremely potent raiding profession.
I actually think it's nice that they're going back and throwing a few bones to the lower levels.
Xonate Feb 24th 2009 11:29AM
Hah, I love the edit note:
"Edit: This is obviously not the full extent of new recipes, so please don't say "that's it?" (I'm looking at you, engineers.)"
As an engineer, I was totally thinking that. But I suppose we'll see. On the upside, suppose my blacksmithing friends will be giddy.
Iwanttobeasleep Feb 24th 2009 11:32AM
My alchemist QQ, let me show you it.
Why no epic trinket recipe yet?
