I too am not happy with the Mage changes. I love how Blizz thought that adding mana regen to talents would make spirit more "useful" for a Mage...like we're going to suddenly start stacking spirit. Give us a break.
The Frost Elemental change simply means that now raids that don't have the Replenishment buff from other classes can force their Mage to spec into deep Frost: bam! Replenishment at the cost of one Mage's DPS. If they had bothered to fix Frost DPS even a little maybe it would be more attractive. Without some serious reworking Frost shall remain one of the worst talent trees of any class in WOTLK by being completely non-competitive in both PVE and PVP.
