Soo happy about colorblind mode! As a colorblind person the blue vs. purple was always insanely frustrating, always had to go to wowhead to find out the item level.

At first I saw the patch notes about color blind mode, thought "wat wut?". I am excited Blizzard is taking the time to help what is probably a small user base.
Anyone know if the Color Blind mode does anything to the profession screens (crafting or the tooltip for gathering)?? That is an another one where the red/orange/green/grey is a horrid combo for me personally.
I hope they expand this more. I know it would take more work, but some encounters, colorblind people have a distinct disadvantage. The mage that splits aparts in Nexxus, the gas clouds on Grubblous(?) in Naxx are a couple examples.
BTW Thank you Blizz for fixing the OS "void" zones. and please keep up the good work.

I would also like to say thanks for color blind mode. Blue v purple has always frustrated me as well.

Yes, h8rain, there is also a colorblind indicator in the profession pane. In parentheses there are "+" signs indicating whether or not you can expect a skillup from crafting. For example, an orange craftable item while have (+++) after its name to indicate that it will result in a skillup.

Yeah, there are little + next to things in the Profession windows. the more + next to something, the better it is. I'd give colors, but I'm colorblind. The quest log has the recommended level next to it in brackets.
I would have gotten some screenshots for this article if I had noticed them. I was too excited about the fact I could finally tell the difference between rares and epics at a glance.

I'm curious - when you exit the BG does it drop you straight back to the place where you took the queue, as opposed to a major city? That would make sense, but some clarification on that would be great.
Tinox Apr 15th 2009 7:07AM
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. If it did, then Blizz would justbe allowing everyone to do a BG port from anywhere.
elizabeth Feb 24th 2009 3:18PM
Since no one seems to be running battlegrounds on the PTR yet, that's unclear, I'm afraid.
JDM Feb 24th 2009 4:11PM
I would assume it would drop you back to where you entered from, like the user above noted, if it ported you back to a battlemaster, it'd be overused as a free hearth.
Morkeliph Feb 24th 2009 3:11PM
So...when you queue up for a BG away from a city, where does it spit you out when the BG is over? Say I queue up out of Winterspring, where will I be after I exit the BG?

Nice changes to LFG
But being added to more than 3 things would be nice. 5 would be a better number.
Todd Feb 24th 2009 3:22PM
I'd be happy if LFG just allows for the searching and joining of older instances. Sometimes you do you want to do an old BC instance, but kinda lame that the LFG tool isn't even helpful in this respect.

Does the Equipment Manager only work with gear in your on person bags, or can it be in the bank? And if so, do you have to be at the bank when you switch?
lexic0n Feb 24th 2009 4:33PM
I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know the answer to this?
BulletzBill Feb 24th 2009 4:14PM
I would assume you have to be actually carrying all the gear in your bags to switch to that set. And if all or some of the items are not with you you probably will just get red warning text that you can't switch that set and nothing else will happen.
Wouldn't make much sense from a literal game world perspective if you could change into gear that was stored miles (zones) away from you. :-P
BulletzBill Feb 24th 2009 4:17PM
But then again, storing things in a bank in one city, then retrieving it in another doesn't make much sense either... so I guess that kinda invalidates my reasoning lol.
