We've got some good information for you here. After the break are a listing of the initial achievements for the
Argent Tournament that was announced yesterday. The Tournament will be active on the
Patch 3.1 PTR for testing, so hop on over there and check it out.
It looks like you're going to be competing in mounted duels against opponents to earn the right to represent parts of your faction. You'll earn titles such as "
of Gnomeragan" and "
of Stormwind".
Very, very, cool.
There's also a fun achievement that I can't wait to find out more about called "It's Just a Flesh Wound" where you "Unmask and defeat the Black Night at the Argent Tournament."

Actual answer: it mentions Mounted combat, so I'm guessing the Mounts are actually vehicles. So it won't be dueling.

OK...the Exalted Champion of Orgrimmar achievement says you have to 'Earn exalted status with and the right to represent Orgrimmar in the Argent Tournament.'
Does that mean that if you're Exalted with Orgrimmar already you just have to earn the right to represent Orgrimmar in the Argent Tournament to get this achievement?
I have a feeling that the mounts listed in an earlier post are the mounts you'll be using in the tournament.

My guess is the tournament will give rep rewards with the old world cities. I am currently exalted with Silvermoon and a good portion of revered if not almost exalted with the other factions. If the tournament doesn't give rep rewards, which I think it must based on the description of the Champion titles, I will just do old world quests.

Looks like "Ambassadors" may have a jump on some of these titles, since they're already exalted with all their faction races! These speak well of being able to get all the city-mounts and pets, if you can choose which city to represent (provided you can eventually choose more than one in the tournament... which may not be the case at all, if it's a very finite event). As a dwarf, I'll most likely go Ironforge first. Show a bit of loyalty. But I spent a lot of time in SW, of course, and really like the horses... yet Darnassus was my first rep-grind for off-race mount. Looking forward to jumping in on the PTR and seeing what's what!
