Breakfast Topic: Which city will you champion?

This brings me to today's question... with the Argent Tournament that's slated to arrive with Patch 3.1 allowing players to choose a city to champion, which one would you pick? You could, of course, base your decision solely on what appears to be city-based vanity pet rewards. An Elwynn Lamb, perhaps, for championing Stormwind? Or a Durotar Scorpion for taking hits for Orgrimmar? I'm destined to end with an Enchanted Broom, I think, similar to what you find in the streets of Silvermoon City.
There are probably other rewards, such as city-based tabards, and maybe even titles (remember the original titles for server-first races?). Without knowing all the rewards, though, which city's name are you inclined to fight under when the Argent Tournament arrives? Are you a defender of Dun Morogh? An exemplar of Exodar? Or maybe even a soldier of Sen'jin Village!

For the Exodar! Draenei pride all the way!

For me, its Stormwind all the way. Unfortunately my actual first choice would be Lordaeron, but due to those poopy-faced Undead, I don't have that luxury. :-)
But seriously, Stormwind is the only capital city that actually LOOKS and FEELS like a capital. I put Silvermoon farther down simply because its western side is still an absolute wreck. You'd think they would have cleaned it up by now.
Everything about Stormwind screams "wow!". I remember the first time I ran through the Valley of Heroes as level 5 noob, having played all the other Warcraft games, and having my mouth hang open as I eagerly ran up to and read all the plaques for the greatest of the great. The Keep, the cathedral, the canals...and now the outstanding harbor that we have, makes Stormwind an easy choice for me. 8-)

if i can get the Stormwind tabard (the goleden lions head) i'll champion them!
SaintStryfe Feb 25th 2009 1:07PM
you can get that all ready - it's the Knight's Tabard

I bought it back when we thought Tokens and Honor would be reset. I kind of regret it until I see how awesome it is.

TB all the way for me, I love that city.
All of my characters use TB as their base of operations, even if another city has rewards I want more I will have to follow my heart and go with my beloved Thunder Bluff.

Maybe I missed the blue source post, but where did they mention that these reps were gained by championing? And by that term I assume we are using it like we do now ie Tabard@friendly then rep from heroics/80 dungeons.
When I see that source post then I will get excited about this! :)
Thanks

Silvermoon or SW. I like to RP and those cities look very RPish

I am a Nelf Hunter and I am thinking I will go with my home city of Darnassus, FTW Baby. I know, like the Exodar, it's in the middle of NO WHERE but I really like the city it's self.
Reihert Feb 25th 2009 11:59AM
Silvermoon, no matter what reward it offers.
Like the poster said, that IS my major city.
skreeran Feb 25th 2009 10:23AM
Definitely Undercity. I already ground up my rep to Exalted at 50 to get off my chicken. I feel like riding an undead steed takes a tiny bit of gayness out of playing a Blood Elf.
Anyway, the opportunity to get a "Forsaken Warhorse" is not one I will soon throw away.

I would love to do all the cities, how long does this event last?? Is it a 1 time thing? Is it Weekly, Monthly, Yearly?
alpha5099 Feb 25th 2009 10:31AM
Hmm, the only capital I've gotten to exalted on my undead mage is Undercity, although I'm within 2000 of exalted for both Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff. I'm very curious as to how this will all work; will I need to be exalted during the Argent Tournament, or could I champion TB, get exalted sometime later, and still get the achievement and the title? I'm a huge sucker for achievements, and I'd love me some welfare mounts (and pets!), so I might try and champion all of the capitals, depending on how reasonable that is to do.
Elmo Feb 25th 2009 10:31AM
All of them I think.
if I have to choose I first want to see the pets
Dreadskull Feb 25th 2009 10:47AM
I'll probably do Elwyn for my Warlock and Silvermoon for my Paladin.

Well, my troll shaman will without doubt champion Thunder Bluff. I totally want the title, as she's a 'modern troll shaman' who learned and believes in the tauren style of shamanish and rejects trollish society and beliefs. That's been part of my way of playing her since the very start. I even did the long grinding process to Exalted to get a kodo before you got the low quest full rep rewards instead of a PVP kodo to show my loyalty.
My human mage I'm not so sure about. She's exalted with Darnassus for the kitty, but doesn't feel much loyalty to them. She's also not got a lot of loyalty to Stormwind either. Possibly Ironforge, since that was her 'home base' through most of pre-BC WOW. It's to bad you can't champion Dalaran... Or maybe it's just a sign to get off my butt and finish getting the Ambassador title.
Kendras Feb 25th 2009 11:06AM
Definately rolling Silvermoon if there's a broom involved, and Stormwind on my Alliance if we get their tabards :)
Jinintaanik Feb 25th 2009 10:58AM
Stormwind, for Bolvar.
Cleverson Sutil Feb 25th 2009 11:18AM
"has multiple mailboxes, two banks, two Inns, and more importantly, is always lag-free"
I don't like the music of the city but it's beautiful and very, very nice to stay: 2 banks, 2 inns, 2 auctio houses!
Nathanyel Feb 25th 2009 11:31AM
Thunder Bluff, just for the title though... Nulgar of Thunder Bluff
The mounts mostly look... well, kinda bland, plus I'll probably never stop using my Raven Lord.
