New Ulduar video from Blizzard
Ulduar is here, and Blizzard has released a new video you can watch above. We see new mobs and animations, get a look at Freya and some vehicle combat, and see some absolutely stunning interiors of the new raid zone.
The video lasts just under 2 minutes, and is worth your time to take a look. There is also some Blizzard music along with it, so be sure to have your sound turned up a bit. You can download high resolution versions of the video from Blizzard.
Perhaps the coolest thing in the video is around the 1:20 mark where we see a new tram style monorail (cue the Simpson's song). There are also very interesting stain glass like windows shown at the end.
Ulduar represents the latest in Blizzard's dungeon making and artistic design, and by the looks of it they're poised to create one helluva masterpiece.

Intense.

yeah nice music; looks infinitely more interesting than the bland-fest that is naxxramas

Good idea, but should I post first about the mockery? I don't even have anything to say in a mocking fashion...
Looks good, the youtube res is way too crappy to do it any justice - just grab the high res one

O M G
It looks f***ing amazing!

I'm hoping that the "link" the next few major raid instances together via storyline. Since I read there seems to be a "Lich King" wing in Ulduar.
Maybe the un-announced raid instance will be something dealing with the Nerubians. We attack Yogg-Saron who is controlling them, he's linked with the Nerubians.
And there is that Nerubian area literally under Icecrown Citadel.
Argh, I'm going crazy just waiting for this to come out! :D

Well there is a leader of sorts of the Faceless Ones in Ulduar according to the game files. He was in the video briefly. The area with Freiya (sp?) looks amazing.
Visually, I'd say this is shaping up to be the best raid instance they've ever made by far. As much as I love Naxx, it doesn't have much visual flair by Wrath standards seeing as it was designed pre-BC, so it'll be nice to spend some extended time plundering a more visually engaging place.

@ Aronoth
What's a Nerubian?
seriously, though... the video looks great! I got to gear up to check that out.

The tram and the final view sorta reminds me of the opening of FFVII.
Kasumi Feb 25th 2009 3:02PM
haha had the exact same thought.
Kuroyume Feb 25th 2009 3:06PM
Same here... that last shot just screams Midgard...
the whole area looks beautyful... i can't wait for it to be launched...
Meira Feb 25th 2009 3:19PM
Exactly my thoughts when i saw the last part. It really reminds me of FFVII!
And Blizzard fails if they don't add to that "Midgar-esque" zone at least one of the following:
() A flower girl
() Something with Mako slapped on the name
() Something that reminds us of AVALANCHE
() Some drop that reminds us of Masamune (well, we already got Muramasa, so why not?!)
() A return of the BE girls in the BE starting zone (you know who...)
() Don Corneo!!!

Reminded me of the cover of Steven King's Dark Tower books.

Aeris is already in game, though.

That one scene with the cracked and bubbling floor, seems like the most plausible bet for yog-saron.
That one creature that starts zoomed out, looks like a dragon-Faceless one hybrid.

At 1:20...
Is that the Dope Ass Disney Train?
Dightkuz Feb 25th 2009 3:19PM
jizz'd.

After watching this, I have a sinking suspicion that The Tram Boss will soon join the ranks of Frogger and The Elevator Boss.
