We had to check it out, of course. There are a few quests you can do right off the bat, but they're not particularly exciting. The first two quests you pick up are just some gathering quests. It gets a little more exciting from there, but I was honestly much more interested in the visuals of the event. While there's obviously a lot of development still happening there (lots of placeholder tags), what is done looks really awesome. When this event goes live, I have no doubt we'll see a lot of people going back to using their racial mounts once these new skins have been added in.
Just south of the tournament, there also seems to be a failed Frost Wyrm resurrection site, a Death Knight's blade jutting out of the ice with a wyrm just below the surface. I wish we knew the story behind that!

Finally, some vehicles I can get excited about. I'm really looking forward to this event, seems like it's going to be a lot of fun.

At least we got an undead horse that really differ from the dark skins; even rivendare's mount is not as appealing as this one,

Why does the Stormwind mount look a lot like the lvl 30 pally mount? I already have one, don't want to have another similar, I want something new from my city :(

Yeah, Stormwind kinda got hosed here. We don't get anything new, just the same ol' thing that all level 30 Paladins get.
Though you can rock your Epic Charger as a Super Stormwind steed or something.
Honestly, I don't think there's any mount that's more Stormwindy than the Alliance Charger.

This all seems very interesting allthough i still have some questions that just keep bugging me...
1. Will we get reputation with our cities when doing the quests on this tournament? Cus if not... well than i better start farming :D
2. Is it urgent to be level 80 to participate or can any level participate?
3. Any idea how long this will last?
And 4. well this isn't a question really it's more like a plea or something.. anyway i haven't seen a blood elf tabard in the screenies :P Would you mind posting a screenie of it please?

As far as 3. goes, a Blue has posted on the forums saying this is a permanent event, not a seasonal or rotational festival like holidays or the Darkmoon Faire.

OMG a white skeletal horse i was just saying to my guild it would be so awesome if that dropped off the 4horsemen and that red Hawkstrider looks sexy looks like i am gonna be spending so much time on wow during this event to get atleast those two although i would love all four.

Let's see....
Stormwind Mount = Fail. Even though I'm not a paladin, I'm not particularly fond of this one. It's fine and all, but I want to see something shiny and new! Though I've always been a bit disappointed with the armor on horses. It's cool and all, but it covers so much of the horse I couldn't tell what kind of horse is underneath it all. It makes all the epic horses look the same to me.
Ironforge: Heck yeah. Best looking ram mount I've seen thus far.
Darnassus: ... wtf... PLEASE tell me this is a placeholder. I mean, a standard mistsaber with some purple gems instead? How boring is that. =(
Gnomeregan: EPIC WIN. Enough said.
Exodar: I'm not a big fan of Elekks in general (only one I particularly like is the PvP one.) but the coloring on this one is quite nice. =)
Darkspear: That's an awesome looking Raptor you got there. =)
Silvermoon: Honestly? I'm not impressed, but it doesn't look bad, either. Guess that has to do more with the fact that they're already very colorful mounts anyway. heh.
Undercity: White skeletal horse? Not bad. Not bad at all.
Orgrimmar: I want.... ;_; I've always loved the wolves, but those ones look particuarly awesome.
Thunderbluff: Not too bad, even if it does keep with the bland coloration of the Kodos. I'm not going to say I hate the gold/silver look, but it's certainly not on my "must have" list.
I do hope some of those mounts get updated before the patch is released. While some may actually look better when taken outside of Icecrown's odd lighting (I'm looking at you, Kodo. I expect you to be a nice shade of gold with shiny silver armor in brighter environments.), some are just plain lackluster. (Stormwind horse and Darnasus Mistsaber? Come not. We can do better than that.)

Would love to actually see the gallery without the very annoying Alli advert popping over the picture - with no "close" button to be found. I understand that someone has to pay the rent, but this is ridiculous.

I am loving the look of this already. As a self-confessed RPer (we all have our vices) - this seems to have some fun RP potential (for those that care about it, that is.)
But yes, definately looking forward to this. Stylish Red Mechanostrider? Hell yeah. My dwarf will ride one around!

Hey WoWInsider,
I'm pretty sure the Death Knight blade in the snow and the wyrm is the event in Icecrown where you see Arthas resurrect his frost wyrm. I could be wrong, I'm not on the PTR, but if they put the Argent Tournament in the northeast corner of Icecrown, then directly south is Sindragosa's Fall...so that would make sense.
