Breakfast Topic: Pride in your Achievements
The current Achievement system is extensive, and growing. While many seem to exist just to give you a small pat on the back, others push you into new content, silly stunts, and wacky doings. Which achievement gives you the most pride? There's a lively discussion on the forums about the matter, and we'd like to continue it here.
It seems like a simple question, but when I began pondering my answer, I wasn't sure what to choose. I'm proud that I have completed every meta achievement leading up to What a Long Strange Trip it's Been, so far this year. I'm not sure if that should count yet, considering there are still plenty of chances to fumble the whole thing.
I believe that I will settle on Twilight Assist. Sarth with a drake or more up is definitely the hardest content currently in the game. Although we haven't managed two or three, I belong to a small, tight-knit raiding guild that started from the ground up. None of our players are recruited from elite guilds, and we don't have 25-man gear. Getting this achievement was an awesome feeling.
So I ask again, of which achievement are you most proud, and why is that the case? Was it the most fun or challenging? Was it because of a reward or title?

I'd like to see more Old World achievements. Just because you're 80 doesn't mean the Azeroth can't provide some accomplishments here and there.
How about defeating the World Dragons? You still need a group for that feat.
How about participating in some of the various world PvP spots, like Silithus or EPL? Why the hell not?
How about destroying 100 various rare mobs, ranging from starter zones and up?
There are enough people who enjoy these diversion achievements, when they're not busy raiding or grinding.

I'm pretty proud of Higher Learning.
I spent so many hours spawn camping those books in Dalaran...but it was worth it for the Kirin'tor familiar!

I have been working on the Loremaster Achievement and it is quite a grueling task, even at 80.
I would probably say my greatest accomplishment atm is Ambassador. Spending who knows how long farming up runecloth from strat runs, doing turnins in AV and going back and doing older quests makes this achievement a toughie, especially for non-humans.

Right now Sarth + 3 Drakes is what I am most proud of, but as far as looking forward, I think I will be most proud of the Master Fisherman acheivement with the reward of "Salty Chesticles" being my name.

The Undying and Salty. Undying is my current favorite because we had 2 weeks of bad luck on KT. Salty was a pain though and I was only the second person that I had seen with it ok my server.

my most adventurous achievement that i'm proud of getting is my "merrymaker" title for winter's vale at lvl 74.
the reason i'm proud of this is because of the adventure i had getting on that flying boat in icecrown, without a flying mount. i researched how to do it first, was not my bright idea :P
first i had to do the long questline to get the skeleton key for scholomance so i could get the runestones that, when clicked on, will take away your health in exchange for mana.
so i finally got those, went to the highest mountain top at the top of the map, and riding through all those undead on the ground was an adventure in itself, and i had a guildie go with me. we died many times. when we got to the top of the mountain, there was some undressing (to avoid dmg my gear) and dueling, popped the runestone when i lost the duel with 1hp left, and committed suicide. rode back to my body on the flying ghost mount, and there was lots of squeaking with delight when my foolish plan worked and i rezzed on the boat!
my original plan was to get a warlock and friends up there to summon me, but that didn't work for some reason.
i wore that merrymaker title with pride (got a lot of whispers asking how i got it), till i hit 78.
i love the title to the achievement "What a Long Strange Trip it's Been." it feels so....final. i hope to achieve it one day!

Definitely my Ambassador title. I know it's not really that hard to get, but I love having it (and now having the mounts I was shafted out of before as a Tauren). I'm considering going for Diplomat, too, but maybe sometime when I have a lot of spare time and cash on my hands.

Loremaster, hands down. I'm still the only alliance on my server with the title and only two horde have gotten it, and they're relatively inactive now (they were originally arena people, but season 5 made them pretty unenthusiastic).

For me it's my Ambassador title. I worked very hard for that one and it was the first achievement I decided to go for. Now, I'm working on my Explorer title when it's late and I can't sleep.
Ice Princess Feb 26th 2009 9:49PM
It would have to be Explorer.... I know it probably doesn't mean much to you guys but I'm proud of it because I declined raid/heroic runs and even dailies (*gasp*) just to travel everywhere. I've actually done all of Outland & Azeroth prior to the release of WotLK.
I'm working on getting exalted with Kurenai because that talbukk is really sexy. RAWR

I was proud to get "the Explorer" just after hitting 73. (With no cheating like Warlock summons, either.) Now if only there were an extra achievement to show I got it the hard way...

Definitely my Warglaives of Azzinoth Feat of Strength achievement. Only rogue (or any class for that matter) hordeside on my server with the set. :)

Getting "Explore Icecrown", "Explore Northrend", "World Explorer" and to ding lvl 80 at the same time when I discover Icecrown Citadel on my shaman.
All raid achievements we can get on my warrior tank, especially if I happen to be the raid leader at the time. Last time it was "Heroic: Less is More" (Sarth down with 20 people or less).
