perhaps two versions of hard mode? One timed (2 chests vs 1 chest vs none depending upon how long it takes you to drop him) and one based on how many (if any) friendly NPCs you release to help you? Seems like it might make sense, based on the encounter. Almost the opposite of keeping drakes up.I would imagine it could be that not releasing NPCs will improve the quality of the items, number of badges, something to that effect while killing him faster results in more loot. Or i could be totally wrong, but either way it sounds like a pretty cool fight. Pun fully intended.
