Before anyone else is a jerk about it, I'll nicely point out that Blizz did add the ability for JCers to make Northrend gems. The item is the Icy Prism. Seems awfully expensive...
Also, I didn't see a new JC trinket on this post. Maybe it was forgotten, or maybe you meant "amulet".

The cost associated with making an Icy Prism far outweighs its value. If they didn't require Frozen Orbs, which are a much better and more reliable sell on the AH, I might actually make them, but as it is now, they lose money. It's much more profitable, for me, to get ore and prospect it than to make Icy Prisms.
Perhaps when I've gotten everything from the Emblem of Heroism vendor I could possibly want and have a few Emblems just sitting around, I'll waste them on orbs and make Prisms. But probably not. I'll probably just auction the orbs, it's more profitable.

I really couldn't agree more, Moose.
As the other Engie/Tank, I really do enjoy activating that haste boost mid-instance (even though I can't... really see the difference - though my thunder clap always seems ready to go afterwards!); but the armour is too harsh to turn down.
Honestly, Blizz - have you run out of ideas? "Boost gloves by 800, and turn mobs pink!" or "Boost gloves by 800, and shoots out confetti when you down Mal'ganis in Heroic CoS" - simple stuff.

Hey ShadowMagus. Then i bet you didn't know that the Icy Prism can produce dragon eyes. That makes it very very very VERY cool and i use it whenever the cooldown is up
