Dunno... still can't see how those new Engineering recipes justify taking the skill. Bleh.. seriously? How about some new epic guns? Explosives that stun? Update some of the old world stuff like the net projector and the mind control cap.Add abilities to mod engineering mounts to go faster or customize models. How about just let tinkering stuff stack with other enchants? Will that seriously overpower stuff so badly? How exactly is a parachute cloak that stacks with another enchant going to break anything? Why should they compete for the same slot?Add some more utility stuff, "The friend summoner" with an 8 hour cooldown so when we're the first person at the summoning stone, we can pull over another party member and then get started on summoning the rest of the group? How about some Engineering only hand weapons? Chainsaws/Chainswords? (Looks over shoulder in case Games Workshop are watching)Come on guys, I hope there's still more to come, this can't be it.

All Tank/Engineer peeps in WoW will rejoice at the glove enchant, both of them... Engineering is about the last thing I would choose for a tank, just in front of LW and Tailoring. Engineering is more for fun than usefulness. The goggles in BC were good, but not much else otherwise. A few unique BoP pieces would go a long way to improving the profession. But I could say that about all professions.

3.1 is a few months away??? I thought when it was up on the PTR it would be a few weeks away.

I'm a tank engineer and I am not rejoicing, per se. I LIKE my pyro-rocket gloves. Current glove enchants from enchanters are alright, but nothing to really get worked up over. 800 armor is huge, so now I have to trade in my neat ability for 800 armor and no neat ability, because I can't justify keeping my pyro-rockets anymore.I just wish the armor gloves did something neat and fun in addition to the 800 armor. Neat and fun is part of why I took engineering, after all.

Well. Let's consider this. There are alot of arms/fury warriors doing PvP right now, where engineering really...glimmers (can't say it truly shines). I think this enchant, and bear with me here, might illustrate a certain amount of foresight on Blizzard's front, in that a fair amount of said warriors, or paladins, or whatever dumb class they let tank these days, would likely use this modification on their tank set considering dual spec will coincide with this, the enchant's release.

If you spent several thousand gold leveling engineering, then with these changes it still doesn't even justify keeping it. The benchmark is for a profession provides you a net benefit of about +38sp like BS,JC,LW,Inscription, enchanting. Tailoring is less.So +38 on a cape that prevented u from having the haste enchant would not provide a net benefit of +38. Perhaps something in the range of 50-60 would be about the same net benefit to replacing the current haste enchant. I sure hope they make engineering competitive with the other professions.

How about a new Dimensional Ripper or that Wormhole Generator we heard about but never saw. I wouldn't mind some new stun grenades. And there had better be a Jet-Ski/Mini-Sub aquatic mount in the next expansion that lets us breathe underwater, carry passengers and has a mini-bar.
