Like some other people, I don't feel like they're caving. I feel like they're listening to player feedback. Which, when you pay a monthly fee, you expect. They're trying to make the game as enjoyable as they possibly can, for as many people as they can.
I applaud them for respecting their audience and taking into consideration what they have to say and what they feel. I don't feel like they cave, I feel like they take suggestions and then they consider it amongst themselves and decide whether or not said suggestions are worthy of implementation.
If they never did these things, we'd have people whining that Blizz had horrible customer service and didn't care about the player, whatsoever. You can't have your cake and eat it, too.
I've played MMOs where the people behind them were irresponsible and could've usually cared less about what the player really wanted. Trust me, we have it good.
