Wintergrasp timer on Patch 3.1 PTR

It was, to say the least, rather inconvenient. The change also comes with a few minor changes, such as the wall icons on the maps -- they look flimsier. Blizzard also saw fit to change the icon for Essence of Wintergrasp again, making it look more like a tower instead of a trophy on a pedestal. The timer feature is a welcome one, although in the PTR it currently doesn't work when not in Northrend. The only thing that would be better than that would be a web-accessible timer that tells you when the next game is on your server...

I would love to see more changes to Wintergrasp, items you can buy with Wintergrasp marks that can used just for the area.
Like items that would let you fly through Wintergrasp, but once you land you can't remount, special wintergrasp weapons to use in the match, tinkets that give you more honor, flying bombers and wintergrasp should have it's own holiday.

Please stop fucking around with the Wintergrasp buff icon. Pick something and stick with it; I'm sick of having to figure out a new one every time you decide to pull out your crayon box.

This is good news. Now, if they would allow you to purchase Commendations with both Stone Keepers Shards, and Wintergrasp Marks of Honor, we would be set.
*stares at my 900 Shards, with absolutely nothing to spend them on*
Bought the mammoth. Bought all the jewelcrafting recipes. And now they are just stacking higher and higher.
There needs to be some sorta something to buy with Shards to get rid of them.

This. Dear god this. It angers me when the portal's not there and I have to fly in on my 60% flyer just to farm some crystallized elements.
Also, I wish they would make the FP active when we control the zone. The other thing I use the portal for is a shortcut to Sholazar, instead of taking the FP's that go all around Northrend (60% flyer, remember).

Why isn't there a portal in the capital cities with the other battlemasters? It's really a pain to have to get back to Dalaran so you can get into WG.
And on that subject, why not a portal to Dalaran from the capitals and Shatt once you get to 80, or even pay 1000 G for the ability to use the portals for anybody above level 70 as long you have your hearth set to Dalaran.

Except not, because there are still some people too lazy to even look and see if we HAVE WG. (i.e. sitting in Org, too lazy to open map and right click twice/click on Northrend once)
With some people, the more you can make others look up for you, the better.
And yes, I know sometimes the map doesn't show who has it properly. It's far too rare for how often I see it asked, though.

Sweet. One of the main reasons I don't do WG that often is I'm outside of Dalaran and never know when the matches are.
