The game is perfectly playable without dual-specs pre-80. You're doing it right now. It comes down to how many alts can one invest time in to get 80, get geared, and start raiding -- where dual-specs will really matter? If someone only play a few hours a week, then why would he need multiple 80 alts with dual-spec? If you're completely new, skip epic flight until last -- just get Flight, Cold-weather Flight, and Dual-Spec.
