The Daily Quest: Of gemming, Bloodlust and MoonkinTV
The Daily Quest brings you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere.
- There are quite a few good explanations of the gear stats raiding Moonkin should pay attention to, but Foofy of Foofy's CupCake Factory made her guide an instructional video (see above). And she promises more to come!
- The Rawrbitchrawr blog continues to pump out great Ulduar info. This time with a video of mounted combat from the Argent Tournament event.
- The Righteous Defense Paladin blog has a great article on gemming for Protection Paladins.
- The Hunter's Mark (written by our very own WoW Insider Hunter columnist Larissa) also has a new gemming guide for Hunters.
- Honor's Code posts a set of gear Protection Paladins can get for the DPS off-spec if they choose to go that route when dual specs arrive in Patch 3.1.
- Forever A Noob continues his Naxx-10 guides for Rogues. His newest one focuses on Thaddius.
- Blessing of Kings demystifies the math behind when to fire off Shaman Bloodlust in a raid presented in this Elitist Jerks' thread (warning: algebra!)

that was a very well done video. even though i play a warlock and these stats arent exactly ment for me, when you look at it from a caster view it does help begining moonkins.
the explanation of the talents as well as giving a visual of the talent tree is very helpful. especaly to those who dont know the talent names, but rather where they are in the tree.
Two thumbs up :)

I just started leveling my druid a few weeks ago and fell in love with my moonkin. This was an excellent video, it answered a lot of questions, thank you!

That music at the end of video is from Final Fantasy VIII.

very well done! it can be tedious to read through pages of elitist stats and comparisons, especially when playing multiple lvl 80 characters. thank you very much for the breakdown, you've made me a better moonkin.

This video is very well done. The only problem is you should not spec imp FF this is a dps loss. 9 times out of 10 there will be a shadow priest in the raid so his misery will over ride you IFF. Take Starfall it is a dps increase and with the new glyph coming out it will be that much more useful. Brambles is nice as well for when you use your trees, usually equals about 50+dps increase. Otherwise this was a good video.

You are so wrong.
Imp FF is not a dps loss, considering majority of guilds have feral druids who keep FF up and by that giving the Moonkin 3% spell crit chance (or Moonkin can give it to himself/herself during boss fights by casting Imp FF).
Starfall is a horrible, very situational talent, and a "new glyph" will never take place of SF, MF, IS or Innervate glyphs. As for Brambles, a lot of bosses have AOE spells/auras (Sapphiron, Haigen, Grobullus, etc), where treants die way too fast. I consider it a purely PvP talent.

Actually whether you take Treants or Starfall is completely optional. I took them both. Reason for taking Treants is that you have to become skilled with them as they will increase your DPS greatly if you drop them at proper times.
Starfall isn't a DPS increase by itself. I cast it only when I'm forced to move, and IS is already up. It's also useful if you run a particularly poor crit setup, as they will proc your Nature's Grace over a period of at least 10 seconds.
I consider iFF mandatory, only because I ran out of other useful points. I usually have a Feral Druid in the raid so it adds very nicely to my crit. If you run 10mans without a Shadow Priest. This spell is CRUCIAL to keep up.

Foofy's moonkin video was removed from Vimeo (apparently they aren't too keen on hosting WoW videos), so she reposted it on YouTube:

She's also posted Part 2 (Glyphs, Rotations, Gemming):
