Ghaundaur asked...
"If you dual spec at 40 and in the process find out that you made a mistake on either one of your specs and need to fix it, is the cost 1000g again or the normal progression in cost to change a spec? Also, say you are leveling a pally and dual spec Ret and Prot and then get to 80 and want to do Prot and Holy. Are we looking at another 1000g?"
No. There is a one time 1000g fee to purchase the ability to have a second spec. After that, normal respecing fees apply to change each of your two specs.
Euphie asked...
"What is the instance portal in between the Trade district and Old Town in Stormwind that is currently blocked off?"
The portal belongs to The Vault, a max level instance akin to the Stockades. But the instance isn't made and the portal doesn't go anywhere. Hopefully one day something will be done with it. You can find out some more information at WoWWiki on The Vault.
Andrew R. asked...
"I remember there being a question about the find treasure racial with dwarves. You said something along the lines of Blizzard had homogenized the racial talents so one race didn't have an advantage over the other. What about the diplomacy racial for humans? That gives them an advantage with rep rewards and some titles. That seems a bit unfair."
Yes and no. It provides a greater temporal advantage - gaining rep takes less time. But it doesn't provide anything over that. And truth be told, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go away at some point. Arthas is giving Humanity quite a bad rap with the rest of the world...
Ian R. asked...
"Why do people constantly post comments that say "First!" on all the WoW Insider articles?"
It's an internet thing. It began here around the time the beta dropped, but god only knows where it started. We delete them as we see them, and readers generally rate them down.
Kevin asked...
"Is the Argent Tournament a temporary world event, or will it become a permanent part of Icecrown?"
It will be a permanent event, where you end up building some structures for the tournament itself. You can find more information via our Argent Tournament page. It is not a world event, and not a PvP event either (although I wouldn't be surprised if there are PvP components to it).
Garninow asked...
"Will we be able to enjoy a followup picture of Matt Rossi that builds on the shadowy, apparently bare-chested and provocative stance he is currently taking?"
Yes.

I've been wondering the same thing about diplomacy. With them trying to make things a bit more equal, I can see them removing it eventually. Some humans don't even have it. Just look at Varian Wrynn, he seems to be missing the racial himself =P
Zhiva Mar 3rd 2009 11:25AM
No =) _Orcs_ lack Diplomacy and gaining reputation with Varian Wrynn is harder for them =)
Cahlbraun Mar 3rd 2009 12:02PM
The Horde may lack Diplomacy overall (exceptions being the Leaders, generally), but Varian lacks something I like to call _Rational Decision Making_, making it difficult to get along with... anyone, really, since you're always so busy blundering around the world, getting mixed up with mana-crazed Blood Elves and randomly shifting Druids (a common malady), making it difficult to even remember where or who you are at any given moment.
See what I did there? I took what happened to Varian out of context, just like what he did at the Undercity! IRONY, AMIRITE?!
Zerokku Mar 3rd 2009 12:04PM
@ Zhiva
Oh yah, calling Thrall a "green-skinned aberration" is incredibly diplomatic -_-
Varian is the one crying out for war while Thrall is the one lamenting the lack of peace after the battle for the undercity. It seems like thrall has diplomacy atleast. Too bad angry king chin can't be a bit more open minded like thrall.
Hal Mar 3rd 2009 12:11PM
Duh; Alliance members can't gain rep with the Horde. Isn't it obvious?
Balius Mar 3rd 2009 4:03PM
Humans in World of Warcraft seem to be portrayed as largely xenophobic and generally unliked by most races they come across, by virtue of their own actions. I always assumed the Diplomacy racial was just an ironic joke.

Diplomacy only applies to factions that aren't inherently hostile and at least willing to dicker. Varian Wynn has diplomacy where he feels like using it..... such as getting the bulk of the Alliance to send it's best to Northrend. Wynn simply has no interest in being diplomatic to the Horde. (just as well the lore of a game called "Warcraft" would kind of stall out if the leaders of both sides were peacenik wannabees. :)
And sometimes all the diplomacy in the world won't help :) After all even Jaina is red to the most tolerant PC orc you can find.

@ Ilnara
Cause I couldn't possibly have grabbed this from wowhead/mmo-champion myself and never even seen your icon before yesterday, amirite? Stop spamming up topics with this stupid crap please -_- Once was alright, a second time is just insipid and annoying.

What is the portal in Stratholm (old world) that is down the tunnel where the waves of undead come from at the end of the instance. After you beat Rivendare you can run down there and see it but its blocked by a gate. Has it always been there? I didn't notice it until after WotLK came out.
William Sagemire Mar 3rd 2009 11:22AM
I think it was just meant to be an extra instance exit.
Wowwiki has a mention of it: http://www.wowwiki.com/Stratholme#Trivia
Jeffy Mar 3rd 2009 11:25AM
IIRC and understand what you're saying, it's another entrance to bypass part of the instance. It requires a key to unlock.
awwjwah Mar 3rd 2009 11:30AM
That was the entrance to old school Naxx and it is no longer used.
William Sagemire Mar 3rd 2009 11:32AM
@Jeffy:
That's a different one.
http://www.wowhead.com/?zone=2017
If look at the map, the south-east blue pin is the entrances that lets you in with a key.
But if you look directly south of the pin for Baron Rivendare, you'll see a small corridor sticking out of the main area, leading in to the black nothing. That's where the mystery portal is.
AyaJulia Mar 3rd 2009 11:33AM
@Jeffy: Incorrect. The portal he's asking about can't be unlocked, at all, ever.
William Sagemire Mar 3rd 2009 11:50AM
@awwjwah:
The old entrance to Nax was a portal outside of Stratholme. It was a flat, ground portal in Plaguewood. Like the ones inside Acherus.
nav Mar 3rd 2009 12:13PM
I'd heard it was planned to be the Naxxramas portal, but they changed their mind and put the ziggurat outside before Naxx was released.
