I sure hope this patch takes a good long time, maybe mid April or somewhere in there. I'd like to finish some things off before getting bombarded with new content.

It's come a lot sooner than mid April. A lot of us our getting rowdy, since we cleared all the raid achievements months ago...

This patch could hit the live servers sooner than you expect. From the looks of the initial encounters in Ulduar, they're fairly complete and low on bugs. (most of the bugs seem to be class/talent related) This is just their "tuning phase" now.

Iron, not Steel Council.

I'm not sure, I still think there is a lot of work to be done before 3.1 goes live. The LFG tool is currently unusable, and some inexplicable oddities with extra talent points crop up when using the dual spec system. Maybe these are minor, easily correctable bugs or maybe they're not. And I'm still not at all sure about the balance with DK's. They nerfed frost because they felt HB was doing far too much AoE damage. However I tried a blood spec on the PTR and I was doing far more AoE damage with the buffed up blood boil than I ever did with HB on my frost dps DK on live.
