Noblegarden extended to a week on the PTR
Elizabeth's wishes have been answered -- in-game Easter holiday Noblegarden has been extended to a full week according to the calendar on the PTR. That's six more days to run around getting eggs, not to mention doing all of the new Noblegarden achievements being included in the holiday. In the past, Noblegarden hasn't meant that much to players -- the rewards were never that great, and the fact that it was on only one day (a day usually reserved by most celebrating for family dinners away from the game) made it much less active than it could have been. But Blizzard has revamped the holiday, apparently, so be on the lookout for some eggs and bunnies starting on Sunday, April 12th.One quick note for those of you worried about your Violet Proto-drakes: apparently still none of the Nobelgarden quests are included in the meta achievement. So there won't be any Bags of Candy or monthly Brews to get -- just enjoy the festivities.
And we'll give a shout-out to Kisirani here as well -- since she took over World Events on the Blizzard team, we've seen some great changes. Despite the issues with the Zombie launch event for Wrath, it was still a ton of fun, and we're pretty sure that she and her team also been behind the popular Brewfest and Hallow's End holidays as well. Excellent work -- we can't wait to see what the new Noblegarden is like.

Ummm, if they took religion out of yer game, then they would also have to take out priests, paladins, warlocks, druids and shamans.

About time this holiday got some love! It was (along with that little autumn feast thing) the lamest of ingame holidays.

Did anyone enjoy Brewfest? Either time?
SaintStryfe Mar 5th 2009 10:03PM
Hell yes! Brewfest is my favorite holiday, top-to-bottom.

The more holidays the better! It's just something extra fun to do that you can only do once a year. Despite the usual bag clutter that comes with 'em, it's always fun to have extra spice in the game. Hallows End wands sure are win.

So removing a holiday mount from a vendor that allowed anyone to purchase it and inserting it instead into a boss that you have to grind repeatedly in hopes of getting a lucky drop is a "great change"?
I guess it must have been (he said sarcastically), since the number of luck-based "achievements" just keeps going up.
Great effin' job, world team.

I think Holidays are important to include in a game like WoW. It's unrealistic to think that soldiers in a War wouldn't want a reason to celebrate.
For example, those cartoony and cheesy hearts during Love is in the Air redirect attention from the fact that your best friend was killed on the field of battle and then promptly tried to eat your face after being raised into an undead.

For four years, I have tried to participate in Noblegarden. By the time I'd get online, there'd be maybe two hours left, and somehow I've never found a single egg.
Ever.
I'm hoping this time they've got it right.
P. S. I want the titles "Candygirl"/"Candyman" You know that would rock.

I remember missing the event one year, but trying it on others. The eggs were hard to find and only seemed located in Elywnn forest. And they always had cheap candy and copper in them. No dress, no tuxedo. Basically a useless grind that went no where.
I’m pretty happy they’re changing some things about it, but I worry they may include more grinding and difficulty on getting items like they did with the stupid mount drop on Coren and the candy bags for Easter. I really can’t stand lottery achievements - because you can put a whole ton of effort in and still walk away empty. That’s simply wrong.

Sorry, I meant candy bags for Valentine's Event. (I'm thinking of Easter obviously...too much)
Evi Mar 6th 2009 10:32AM
I like the extension. I've never once participated in Noblegarden because I'm always busy on Easter.

I'll be happy with Noblegarden if there isn't another "screw you!" achievement like "Be Mine!" was for Love is in the Air.
I don't want to spend all of Noblegarden feverishly cracking open eggs and offering blood sacrifices to the RNG gods for some stupid achievement.

My server is full of "egg campers"; this really takes the fun out of things. I suppose I could log in at 5 am or something...Goldshire is lined from one end to the other with campers, and many are arguing with each other over who has the "right" to camp a particular spawn point. This is Blizzard's idea of FUN? I enjoy most of the holidays, so please don't hate on me for saying that Noblegarden should be called TOONgarden...these campers do have a similarity to plants in that they don't move...ever.
Any advice on how to get these achievements and rewards without battling campers? Is there a particular city that is less populated with these obnoxious idiots? Egg "hunts" don't exist on my server, you merely look for the campers...
