Patch 3.1 to make Cooking easier
It's being reported that high end Cooking has received a bit of an overhaul in the latest Patch 3.1 PTR build. Well over 20 recipes have been changed so they won't go grey quite so early, making the trip to 450 Cooking a much easier process. The test realms haven't actually come back up yet so I'm unfortunately unable to get a list of recipes that have changed, but it sounds like leveling Cooking will suck much less. I think my it took my Priest longer to hit 450 Cooking than it took my Paladin to hit 450 Blacksmithing. After grinding through that, I never want to make another Feast again. Unfortunately, I'm sure I'll be making them by the dozen when Ulduar rolls around. Sigh.
I would do a great many things to be able to summon Jillian on demand.

Hope I don't sound picky but is Overall meant to be overhaul? Just had to reread that a couple times cause I didn't catch what was being said >.

Yes, apologies. I wasn't paying enough attention to my spellchecker.

It was hard to level cooking?! I never had any problems at all, although I did level fishing at the same time which I hear makes it a lot easier.
Now making fishing easier to level - that would be very nice.....

It wasn't hard so much as irritating: 100+ small/gigantic feasts to get from 448 to 450. /shudder

Either your exaggerating to Hell and back or you have the worst luck of any person on the planet.

Getting to 425ish isn't too hard, but after that it's only novelty feasts to max, which is ridiculous.

Why publish this if you don't know?

I know there were changes. I don't know the exact recipes.

There's no important need to be at 450 though is there? The highest recipe requirement currently in game to learn it is 435 no?

Fish Feast requires 450 still, and it's pretty much the best food in the game, considering you can feed it to your entire raid.

I don't like the artificial limitation on the supply of northrend spices. Remove THAT, if anything needs to change...
It's bad enough that most recipes require doing the same 5 cooking quests over and over and over for two bloody months straight to get enough badges for the recipes, then I must continue to be allowed to buy spice too? Makes no sense whatsoever.

I'd like to remind everyone that there is no need to level Cooking if you don't want to. Farm the ingredients, and pay a cook to do the cooking for you. You can buy spices on the Auction House if the cook doesn't have a supply.

never had any problems levelling my cooking since, when i first created my first main i was steady levelling both fishing and cooking , only hard thing was the amount of gigantic feast you had to make just to get the last tic to 450 , WTb more high lvl (useful) cooking recipes from 425 + plz ;)
