It used to ignore armor, but with a fury spec it seems that it was simply doing too much damage.. or was too large a percentage of a warrior's damage. So they nerfed it.. i'm not 100% how, but I believe it was changed to be affected by armor, hence matthew's interest at it being potentially affected by it.. improving it once more and making armor penetration very interesting again :)
