While its kinda lame on Blizzard's part to be adding crap to an achievement that wasn't already there (unlike the initially hidden Malygos requirement for Champion of the FW), I also think its ridiculous for people to complain about it, considering how easy it is to complete the holiday stuff.
Be it collecting coins, candy, or romantic gifts, all it takes is time and patience, and logging on once an hour to pick up some crap from your innkeeper. Its nothing like never having anyone die in Naxx.
Regardless, I'm glad there is such an achievement for those that probably never be able to get a proto drake otherwise (especially since they're getting rid of the raiding ones come patch 3.1).

There are other ways to get proto drakes. One rare spawn drops one 100% of the time, if you can get to him. A few heroic bosses have maybe a 1% droprate, and the Oracle egg has about the same 1% droprate for a green proto drake.
This is NOT the only way to get a proto drake, and it is by far not the easiest way.

So what you're telling me is that, having a shopping list of things to do to GUARANTEE a protodrake isn't easier than hoping for good luck on rare spawn that others are obviously farming, or hoping for a rare boss drop, or hoping for that egg (which does all of nothing for 7 days and can yield absolutely nothing) to hatch into a mount?
My bad.

The green protodrake you get from the egg is not 310%, it's 280%.
