Syll puts the Wowinsider podcast first in the list, gives them two shout outs and disses The Instance! That wouldn't be any more transparent if it was covered in Saran Wrap.

1. She says she likes to listen to southern accents? Blargh.
2. The Instance is over-produced? Is that code for "put together well"? If so, than yes. The Instance is popular for a reason: it's done well.
3. She's a girl. She doesn't know what the internets are all about.

The alliance warlock twink guide is a bit *too* outdated and not very helpful or applicable. That buildis the all-too typical 'stam-build' for lvl. 19 lock twinks. The thing is, the pure damage build leaves you with 199-206 bonus shadowpower unbuffed while having 1.3k hp unbuffed (popping sacrifice tosses in another 300 hp per soul shard). From ~all~ of my experiences, my pure damage build is a lot better at pvp than the stam build.
When your Curse of Agony and Corruption together total up to 750 damage, dots just destroy the health of other toons (including the typical stam build). I think that the damage build is leagues better than the stam build... I think its great when you can run at the main group in a BG, hit all 10 players with CoA and Corruption... and less than half of them make it out alive.

I have been playing RPGs since Final Fantasy 1 and D & D 2E
Rules serve three purposes: the suspension of disbelief, The illusion of impartial resolution, and a props for roleplaying.
The article "the evolution of rules in RPGs" has me concerned about the new crop of GMs and theorists. They forget rules are merely a tool for social interaction not even a sport like say blackjack.
"The developers listened to their community, sat down, and tried to play through a session with no magic at all. They failed, and hence, the book arose" from the article
That is utter hogwash. It is ultimately the story, not the mechanics that determines success.
Wizards of the coast are now what I hated about TSR
4.0 is trash what is the point of the d20 core system if they keep making unnecessary core changes.

Kinda ironic complaining about 4ed on a WoW site.

Nice post just for the re blogging of the favorite podcasts list. I would really love to see more coverage about different wow podcasts.
Wow insider is great, but most people who listen to podcasts listen to a ton of them and I want more!

Yeah that warlock twink list is severely outdated. Many of the of healing items don't have correct numbers for damage now that healing and damage have been merged. The heirloom boa shoulders are the best in slot by far now as is the boa heirloom spell damage trinket. You can also currently put the honor bought stam/resilience enchant on the boa item and trade it, though for those who were lucky enough to get the power of the scourge enchant out of old naxxramas, you have the best option for the boa shoulders if you saved it. You get far more out of a warlock twink with very high shadow damage than you will out of stacking pure stamina. You do need enough stam to survive really nasty rogues that seem to target you over and over and you can easily still be over 2k with 160 shadow damage when it's called for. My 19 warlock twink is twinkerbel on proudmoore and my 39 warlock twink is calyban on proudmoore. My main raiding warlock is ravenelle on the same server.

1. WOW Insider Podcast is my favorite of all the ones I listen to.
2. I did say that The Instance feels overproduced to me, but I also said that I listen to it and it is a good general podcast. Just perfer WI.
3. Girls on the internet? Where?
4. I also said that I’d encourage anyone to try the field and see if you find something you really like or relate to.
