Arena Tournament moves to second phase

Players interested in participating simply have to pony up $20 or €15 for a shot at winning prizes totalling $200,000. All ranked matches now count towards the qualifiers, and the players belonging to the Top 1000 teams will receive the title of 'Vanquisher' on all their characters Level 71 and above on the live realms. Players who don't crack the upper echelons of Arena rankings can still get the lovable armored murloc pet by playing 200 matches. The matches must be played on the same character and with the same team charter.
Blizzard has also opened up Arena Tournament forums for US realms and EU realms, which players can use to recruit for teams, discuss strategies or ask for advice, and generally keep up-to-date on the latest goings-on in the Tournament Realms. Of course, if you want a good shot at winning, it might help to take some pointers from Korea's H O N, who played RMP to a completely different level, taking home $30,000 at the recently concluded ESL Arena Tournament.

Hmmm....it all looks so attractive. If only I had $20 and wasn't so horrible at Arena >.

I know there was a lot of confusion about when the rated matches started, with a lot of people (including our team) starting yesterday. Fortunately our team only did 20 matches but I saw a post on the tournament forum from a guy who said he'd completed all 200 matches yesterday. He'll get a bit of a shock when he logs back on today to find that they've been reset to 0. Or worse, doesn't log back on at all and misses out on his pet.
Personally we've done 20 matches, been having a lot of fun coming up against pet teams who are just as bad as us :D

I'm fairly sure that the matches that people started doing yesterday count since the post on the Warcraft homepage about the start of the 2nd round was made on 3/10/09.
They also said that the start of the 2nd phase would be accompanied by a reset of the arena team rankings on the Tournament Server.
My team formed on Monday and did 3 practice matches to get a rating other than 1500. On Tuesday morning after the server maintenance, I logged on and saw that the team ratings had indeed been reset. Since then my team has finished 90 matches and we haven't seen anyone complaining about ratings being reset late or anything.
I saw that same post on the forum from the guy with 200 matches completed yesterday, but the FAQ for the Arena Tournament clearly said that the prizes would be mailed out to eligible participants within 4 weeks of the END of the qualifier round. So even though he finished his matches yesterday, he should still get Murkimus, but it probably won't be for another 6-8 weeks.

Oh I wish it would just move to permanent phase with a normal arena server all the time with its own rules so they can leave WOW alone in peace again.

If warriors weren't so sucky this season i'd be in there like a shot, always next year i guess.

You don't import a toon to the tournament realm, you create a new 80 from scratch with free gear/enchants/glyphs/gems/etc. All you bring is your skill (or in the case of us many of us murlock seekers, good-natured lack of skill).
So you don't have to play your warrior, you can play anything you want on either side of the Alliance/Horde divide.

Rylka, the only problem with that is knowing how to play the other classes. My team needed a healing debuff. Since my only 2 max level characters are warrior & DK, that meant bringing the warrior.
I tried to use a Hunter, but it didn't do much good. I just didn't know how to play it.

I'm just a rookie .I don't know how to play this game,as I always died.
I want to know how to improve my skillness.
