WoW Moviewatch: Unbroken trailer
I've been looking forward to this one for quite some time. Firebolt Productions has released the promotional trailer for their upcoming film, Unbroken. It is a movie about a group of Draenei refugees hiding from the barbarous Orc invaders. While I know the Orcs were the original inhabitants of Draenor, I can't wait to see how the rich tapestry of lore is going to play out in the movie.
It's nothing short of legendary to see the cast of folks involved in "Unbroken." Selserene, the Hackleman brothers, and Matt Greenberg, just to name a few. With this kind of talent all operating under one roof, I have to expect greatness from the movie.
The preview trailer is gorgeous. The opening lines in the voiceover promise a heartrending story. The animation is just beautiful. The landscapes of Outland reveal an alien but thriving world. The brief character shots and profiles all look like Firebolt spent an immense effort to choose the best models possible for their actors.
It's a trailer, so it's hard to say how compelling the final dialogue will be. But everything about this trailer tells me Unbroken is going to be awesome.

Cross your fingers and hope the draenei won't all have silly russian accents.

Nice visuals, but I'm not encouraged by a story that to me consists of squiddie melodrama and Orcs that could be better replaced with some Zerg from Starcraft II.

Too bad that's what the Orcs were in WC and WCII, the forefathers of the Zerg.

This is so going to rock. It's based on the 'Unbroken' story, one of my favourite lore pieces. If the battle for Shattrath is portrayed with the same overall quality of the trailer, this will be epic.
I was, however, surprised by the lack of quality of the voice acting just after the credits for Jeff Gordnt and D.W Hackleman. It sounds like a guy speaking from ventrilo. It's the only thing that didn't match the rest.

Yes, that audio clip surprised me as well. It seems 'unintended'.

I was actually not expecting a trailer that looked as cinematic and well done as the one posted. I also was pleasantly surprised with how poignant and uplifting the shortly story this film is based off was. Now, I’m ready to expect something great. Keep us posted on this.

It gave me chills. Really looking forward to seeing this one!
Hopefully "The Hunt" will be finished soon as well - both that trailer and this one look like some truly epic machinima.

Another epic trailer for a movie that probably won't get made..

Agree. It is too easy to make fantastic trailers and too many people get the two mixed up, finish the movie then make a trailer as you put the final gloss on it, dont make trailers before youeven start making the movie or are nowhere near completion.

So true. I was disappointed by this trailer to be honest. It looks pretty, but literally there were 15 words of dialogue spoken at max. They were typical trailer language:
"A Man."
"On a mission."
"To save his world."
"By doing amazing stuff."
Anyhow, I love the creativity and hope that the storyline they are pulling from gets captured adequately.

Incredible accomplishment - the trailer alone. Too bad its about stupid blueberry losers, who lose. But I guess it could be worse, it could be ANOTHER emo belf flick.
I wants my Rexxar movie!

i usually dont comment, but honestly for those talking crap about how this will never get made.....its myndflame.....ummmm unless you have been livin under a rock they are fairly well known and reputable

While I doubt we'll see this come to fruition, I think Blind finally has some real competition here.
We shall see.

Looks good!

"unless you have been livin under a rock they are fairly well known and reputable"
Unless you've been living under a different rock, you know they shot any rep they had to hell with the godawful vaporware with slapped-together bail out that was Escape from Orgrimmar.
Lose head writer, spend years not knowing what to do and lying about it...etc. etc.

The graphics looks so gorgeous.
I can't help but think, 10 years from now, what we see in game might be up to this standard, hi-res textures, lightning, shadows etc.

I thought it was a really poor trailer. It didn't give any story information at all, from watching this we have no idea really what its about, the dialogue used was disjointed, and didn't help to further any interest, they were just random lines thrown in and the quote at the start didn't make much sense and it wasn't explored throughout the duration of the trailer at all.
It didn't leave you thinking, or dying to watch.
Just my two cents, hopefully the movie will be alot better than the trailer.
