Reader Randy N. sent a link to these tile necklaces along to us, and they look awesome. They're
made by a husband/wife team in New Mexico, and they're made from Scrabble tiles (the back apparently still has the letter on it) coated in
a glassy glaze, with an assortment of colors and sayings. Very nice -- could be just the thing for someone who's a fan of
Warcraft and handmade jewelry in your life.
They're $9.99 apiece with free shipping, which is not too bad. And if that's too much and you want to try making them yourself, they've even got
a tutorial on how it's done right there on the site. We do have one issue, though -- these pretty pendants and
cute crafts are fine for the ladies and all, but what about us dudes? Maybe we can get some "pwned" or "woot" cufflinks?

I'm buying one, or two even. Thanks so much for this article. :D

Every time I see someone wearing something like this I seriously question why I play this game.
(oh wait, I don't because nobody who would wear this has ever left their parents' basement)
dillonwelch Mar 12th 2009 8:31PM
How about for the pure hilarity of it?
peagle Mar 13th 2009 12:24AM
@Reilly
You should see if they can custom make you one with "Nerd in denial" on it.

Those are great! Naysayers, L2HaveFun.
Dightkuz Mar 12th 2009 8:31PM
I'd get "pwned" if I'd wear something like that in public.
mibluvr13 Mar 12th 2009 8:33PM
Yes, people will beat you up/take your lunch money if you wear something with a game related word on it. It's still 1986.
infinityv Mar 12th 2009 8:59PM
Not to be an arse but these saying pre-date WoW...
Everquest or UO anyone?
Evelinda Mar 12th 2009 9:15PM
These are fab... and as if you'd get paid out for wearing them... the only people who are actually going to get it are gamers anyway. I think theyre cute as.
Gessilea Mar 12th 2009 10:16PM
That was my thought! I would normally never go for something like this, but I'm thinking really seriously about getting the exclamation point one. A non-WoW player would just think it's a fun, quirky piece, and it would be a fun way to meet other gamers.

These are adorable!! I just ordered my purple [epic] charm. I do wish there was a w00t! or a Pwner option or something...
I wonder if they could fit, "I melt faces" on one.. I bet they could...
Keyra Mar 13th 2009 12:22AM
There is a "woot" and "pwnd".
"woot" - http://www.tilependant.com/256.html
"pwnd" - http://www.tilependant.com/253.html
I'm thinking about getting this one, as it expresses my being away from my computer so long in order to earn that weird thing called "money":
"/sigh" - http://www.tilependant.com/311.html
Keyra Mar 13th 2009 12:33AM
Oh, I forgot to add - they do custom pieces too. So "Melts Faces" is most definitely doable :-)
Frank Mar 12th 2009 9:30PM
if your masculinity is threatened by wearing one of these, you have more issues to worry about than if you play WoW too much.
Itanius Mar 12th 2009 9:37PM
Who really wears cufflinks? If you do, would you wear this type of cufflink? ;)
notworksafe Mar 12th 2009 9:52PM
Cufflinks were the first thing I thought of!
Greatlady Mar 25th 2009 11:02PM
Have two of these. People ask about em all the time. Too much fun. Totally recommend.
Nog Mar 12th 2009 10:03PM
Oh boy would I catch a beating if I wore one of these around my non-wow playing buddies, haha
mygiantrobot Mar 13th 2009 2:28AM
You need to get new friends.
Magma Mar 12th 2009 10:05PM
Just from the picture, they look nice. But hai, That is not a wow thing. That's basically just internet change of a word, or to be technical an actual japanese word.
