Achievements are just another way to play a game. Being that WoW isn't the only one with the achievement system, it's something that on other systems/game that has given a player something to work towards. Sometimes, achievements are nothing more than busy work that force you to play everything the game has to offer, but in reality, they shouldn't be anymore than just a marker or a badge to show off (gloat even) about what someone has completed. I sure hope they don't implement any sort of rewards system for achievement points.
