The best place to get Frostweave
We've already heard about some great spots for Leather and Chilled Meat farming in Northrend, but Just My Two Copper found a great Frostweave spot -- just to the right of Freya's Avatar over in Sholazar Basin, there's a spawning spot for Bonescythe Ravagers that just can't be cleared out no matter how fast you are. I went over there myself, and Markco is right: every time you down all of these guys, another one pops up, and they drop Frostweave and greens pretty often (in about five minutes of farming, I picked up about 10 Frostweave -- and I'm not even a Tailor -- and a lockbox, too).
He says nerf is incoming, and I believe it: there's supposed to be a little battle there going on between Freya's flowers and the undead, and that's probably why they all keep popping up so quickly. But until Blizzard decides to spoil the fun, if you need Frostweave, that appears to be the place to go.

zomg, a "first"post in disguise?
Quantumflea Mar 12th 2009 9:12AM
He needs to up the volume on his video.
sanar Mar 12th 2009 9:07AM
Not anymore, now that it's posted here.

The spot just beyond the armies outside of Icecrown Citadel, where the spirits of fallen heroes dash madly to their doom is a good place too.
Just stand there and just keep snagging heroes as they run past you. They are neutural, so you never have to worry about being ganged up on. Plus, you are doin a good deed.
Merkin Mar 12th 2009 9:21AM
Yep! This has been my spot, too. Easy, incredible amounts of FW in a very short time.
Lyonesse Mar 12th 2009 9:48AM
Indeed, my favorite spot too. Beware of the rare mob giant that walks by every now and then. Does give you the achievement and some nice loot though :-)
Angus Mar 12th 2009 9:54AM
LOL.
The wife and I were here farming for an hour once.
I would consecrate, kill a bunch of mobs and all she dis was toss the occasional heal and loot. The giant showed up and she didn't notice. We got a blue for her to shard and some more frostweave from his bag.
1 hour, 8 stacks of frostweave.
YMMV due to me being a tankadin and her a tailor.
Love the spot.

We'll....time to find a new spot now.
bod Mar 12th 2009 9:31AM
/agree this is guaranteed to be nerfed now it's been loudmouthed on wow insider....
Matazuma Mar 12th 2009 9:19AM
well better abuse this as much as possible before they nerf it

10 frostweave in 5 minutes is good?
Do the Knights of the Ebon Blade daily to plant 15 banners. Some of those mobs drop up to 4 frostwave each. I walk away with my daily money, a stack to stack and a half of frostweave, and if I'm lucky a green or 2. In 5 minutes or less. Sure they don't respawn immediately and you'll have some competition but now that this was posted you'll have competition there also.
Jay Mar 12th 2009 9:26AM
Well it used to be the best place, now that its been posted it'll either get nerfed or camped by too many others.
Balius Mar 12th 2009 9:29AM
On my tailor, killing the 15 vrykul is usually good for a stack at least. I don't need someplace where mobs spawn unusually fast when the cloth drops are as plentiful as they are.
konoo Mar 12th 2009 9:35AM
Great now everyone knows......
aerows Mar 12th 2009 9:54AM
Thanks for ruining the spot. Now it will probably be nerfed so they drop nothing or farmed to death.
I realize it seems helpful to post things like this, but in reality all you are doing is ruining it for everyone.
bundee Mar 12th 2009 11:53AM
No, they're ruining it for the few people that know.
hoss Mar 12th 2009 9:58AM
My first drop was a Blue.
but for sure Blizzard is going to "Fix" this. DE'd for a Dreamshard... and picked up 10G in about 5 mins.
Rob Mar 12th 2009 10:00AM
Idk how reliable this is, but in icecrown, the place where you do the VW daily, there is a citidal you enter to do a 3 man quest (easily soloable), anyway all these mobs are clothies, and I walked out of there after half an hour with 2 stacks of frostweave (not a tailor on that toon).
Steve Orlando Mar 12th 2009 10:05AM
Is the news so slow today that you have to ruin a great farming spot for everyone ? :( Thanks for that. /facepalm
