The Queue: Seven

Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky will be your host today.
Before I wrote six. Now I'm writing seven. And if you got the picture on six, you'll probably understand why Kara Thrace is the featured image for this article where I answer seven of your questions. And if you don't understand what I'm talking about, just know that my girlfriend bears a resemblance to Katie Sackhoff (beyond sharing the same first name), and that's worthy of a Queue introduction right there. And mark my words, she is somehow related to the seventh Cylon. Starbuck, not my girlfriend (although...).
Nakabeast asked...
"Heirlooms and similar items are listed as "Bind on Account." Now wouldn't this make more sense if these BoA items actually did what their tooltip lists, and let us trade these throughout entire accounts, not just one server? I'd love for my Death Knight on my friend's server to have Murky and the Big Blizzard Bear."
While you can't do that right now, Blizzard has not ruled out the possibility for future inter-server transfers. Don't expect it anytime soon though. And personally, I'd be surprised if we see it at all.
Kyte asked...
"Can you server transfer a character with heirloom items?"
Yes.
Bundee asked...
"Speaking of unfinished business, whatever happened to mount enchants?"
They're on the backburner. Every week or so a blue seems to make a comment on it, basically saying that there's nothing right now about mount enchants or trinkets, but that there could be in the future.
Paraella asked...
"Do you know if, along with hearthstone cooldowns being lowered to 30 min in the new patch, if the refer-a-friend Summon Friend cooldown will also be lowered to 30 min? This would only make sense, as Summon Friend is often used right after hearth, right?"
Nothing yet, but it wouldn't surprise me to see it changed. And it has "stealth change" written all over it.
Uncletouchy asked...
"As a mage I have some questions about trinket timings. Does a trinket affect a spell that I have already cast but is still traveling to the boss? Ex. If I go through my 6 sec pyroblast cast time then pop my trinket as it's flying to the boss will it increase the spell power on my pyroblast? Also, does it affect DOTs after they've been cast on a target?"
No, to both questions. Think of a spell as a gift you give to someone. Once you give the gift, you can't change it anymore. And DOTs are kind of like a purity ring, once you give it to someone there's no stopping Grey's Anatomy.
Farthing asked...
"When I first started playing, my favorite weapons, and more rarely armor, all had fun procs or use effects). Why do so very few quest and dungeon rewards have effects like this in Burning Crusade and Wrath content?"
Since procs are in the end a random element, they can provide rather significant balance issues while leveling and, perhaps more importantly, cause a lot of confusion for newer players as they work on the leveling process. Save the more difficult concepts for the end game.
Akhi asked...
"Why are there no Gnome or Dwarf or Tauren Undead? Does the plague only work on people of a certain size?"
Because everyone hates Gnomes, Dwarves, and Taurens.

TAURENS ARE NOT COWS
I want someone to answer this from wowinsider SERIOUSLY. Are taurens cows? They have no lineage to cows and seeing it here will convince those idiots at the RP forums.
Riley Mar 12th 2009 5:17PM
Um, yes, they are anthropomorphic cows, hence why they are called TAURen
Kassu Mar 12th 2009 5:22PM
Thunder Bluff = Cow level.
Mattack Mar 12th 2009 7:07PM
The tauren name and appearance is based upon the Minotaur of Greek mythology. The Minotaur was a creature that was part man and part bull. "Tauros" is Ancient Greek for "bull". The word "tauren" is an anagram of "nature".

They don't think of themselves as cows. As far as they're concerned, they were born from the earth mother, in some plains during the eve of creation. Kind of like some people who are devout to their religion may not accept the theory of evolution.
But realy, they resemble cows the same way we resemble monkeys, lol.
mtsadowski Mar 12th 2009 3:37PM
Because when a Tauren dies, they are sold to McDonalds.
Akuma Mar 12th 2009 5:46PM
:( I want to be sold to Burger King
Shulkman Mar 12th 2009 3:38PM
I love me a side of Tauren, with A-1 Sauce.
Slog Mar 12th 2009 3:39PM
There is no cow level.
Sedition Mar 12th 2009 5:19PM
Not yet. Maybe that's the next expansion.
Cleer Mar 12th 2009 6:19PM
I would love to see a cow level in the next expansion. ^^

Tauren's druidic nature does not allow their spirit to be repossessed into a Forsaken and Gnomes/Dwarves are too small to really be useful as an Undead (ie: once they die and decompose, there isn't going to much left).
blkmasta55555 Mar 12th 2009 4:00PM
There are undead gnomes in Naxx, and Trag Highmountain (wowwiki it) is an undead tauren. The simple reason for not having these playable was to make it simpler to choose a race and also to shorten the list of model Blizz had to create.
mibluvr13 Mar 12th 2009 4:45PM
Your both right in my opinion, as lorewise, I can see that there would be only small populations of undead tauren, gnomes, and dwarfs for seanfury's reasons, but they CAN and do exist. It only makes sense that we wouldn't see many or any in our lives as adventurers, as the undead we encounter have been deemed useful by the Scourge at some point in their undeath.
bundee Mar 12th 2009 4:50PM
Yeah, nevermind that there are tauren DEATH KNIGHTS.
qoa Mar 13th 2009 1:27AM
There is an undead gnome in Undercity standing infront of the worm type thing that is providing all the green crap for the canals. Go look on the ramp and you'll see him.
Eros Mar 17th 2009 10:15PM
If you mean Ganoosh he is a leper gnome not an undead one.
dphyled Mar 12th 2009 3:42PM
South park!
