@ Jorelos: You currently cannot put any TBC or Wrath-era enchants on heirloom items because they count as level 1 so that twinks can't enchant them with Mongoose etc. This means that your heirloom weapons will have very substandard enchants (some of which, like Crusader, are less effective by design post 60) once you get into expansion content. With this change, Blizzard can allow any enchant to go on any item, with the caveat that the enchant would temporarily stop working when mailed to a character who does not meet the requirements. On the downside, I'm strongly suspicious that the ZG enchant on my shoulders, which I'm using to level an alt who isn't menacing any poor downtrodden twinks in battlegrounds is probably going to stop functioning until I gain some levels due to this change.
