What's with the NPCs in Dalaran that walk in to the bank and vanish in front of the guild bank? I've only seen them on the alliance side (I don't play horde), and their names are red.

Those NPCs are just logging off like you and I do, attending to their real lives as astronauts and unicorn cowboys.

Those are 'flavor' NPCs I guess. There's several, both Alliance and Horde (in terms of race & whether green or red to you at least). They're kinda like named versions of the myriad "Dalaran Visitors" constantly arriving at Krasus' Landing. They spawn, wander somewhere in the city (like the ammo shop), 'conduct business' (approach vendors, for instance) then leave and despawn when they get to their final destination.
