On lower systems, they can definitely add to the problem. It's just that much more that has to be rendered simultaneously.The ghostly skull I can certainly understand. It might just be with certain graphics cards, but the new "smoke" effects that Blizzard introduced with Wrath can be extremely taxing on older systems (killing those Revenants that create a big cloud around them when they die drops me down to like 1 fps until it dissipates, and places in Northrend that have a lot of bonfires slow things to a crawl).I'm not sure what the deal is.
