It is a strong valid point that for the most part, herbalism does not seem to tie well with a deathknight. However, when i created him with the intention of becoming a herbalist, i viewed it more as exploiting the world. And for Lifeblood, though the actual graphic kills the feel, I tied it to the DK draining the earth of life, instead of bringing it up to heal the character. Instead of blooming flowers, i viewed it as wilting plants and desected ground. Just my two cents.
And sorry for my bad spelling

This interpretation works particularly well for Frost and Blood. As a Frost Death Knight, you could be drawing all of the heat out of the plant life around you (ala Hungering Cold). And as for Blood, they destroy the plants the old fashioned way because they get healed for a percentage of the damage they do.
