Can't agree to most of this, but agree that officers'GLs need to delegate and find a focus for the guild. If the guild is about progression, then do X. If it's about friends and a friendly culture, do Y. Too often I see a guild start as a friendly casual guild, turn into 'we're the most hardcore raiders ever'. I guess it's easy to get carried away. Also when officers burn out, rotate. Either through election or soemething else. Trust me you won't feel like doing 'work' during your play time for very long.
