No, you do not get a second set of gem slots. Dual Spec has no impact on your equipment at all. It changes your talents, your glyphs, and your action bars. Any gear-related changes you need to make are up to you to handle. You'll probably want to assemble two sets of gear like you would have before dual specs and use the new Gear Manager to keep them straight.

Is the 2nd wing of Vault of Archavon still planned for 3.1? I haven't heard anything about it yet on the PTR, nor any new models really seen for a new boss. Is it canceled or too early to say?
They've added the second wing onto the Vault of Archavon but we haven't seen the boss yet. We'll probably still see it in patch 3.1 but I can't say for sure. It's possible the boss just doesn't need much testing, or they want to focus on Ulduar first instead.

What's with the NPCs in Dalaran that walk in to the bank and vanish in front of the guild bank?
They're just flavor NPCs. There are both Horde and Alliance NPCs. They aren't there for anything special, they're just adventurers like you and I. They walk around town vendoring their greys, doing some banking, hitting the mailbox, maybe spending some of their Emblems on epics before they log off for the night. That's all.

I just got an epic helmet that has a meta gem socket. I put in an Eternal Earthsiege Diamond and would like to have the +21 defense rating but I need to have 2 red gems socketed somewhere. I have an Eternal Belt Buckle so that gives me one. Are there any other item enhancements that add a gem socket?
If you're a Blacksmith, yes. You can add a gem slot to your gloves and your bracers. Otherwise? No, only the Eternal Belt Buckles add gem slots to gear. Your best choice would be to make a Tanking item with a gem slot your top priority for your next dungeon drop, or look through what Blacksmiths can make that come with a socket.

Any word on them adding another wing to Wyrmrest Temple? I know this was on some fake patch notes, just wondering if there is anything else that might clue into that.
I do believe they've mentioned wanting to open the other wings in the future. However, it's not happening in patch 3.1 and we have no idea when it will happen, or how it will happen. They haven't mentioned any specifics. Assuming it does happen, I suspect it'll be like the Caverns of Time. Another wing might not even open over the course of Wrath of the Lich King. We might be waiting until the next expansion for it to happen.

It may just be my cell phone in particular. but it seems WoW Insider mobile is broken and the frames have collapsed. Before, mobile version showed all the recent announcements, now it seems as though it wants to show the entire website on one massively small webpage. Any thoughts?
For some reason, our WoW Insider Mobile site isn't working as it's supposed to work. At least, it isn't working like we think it's supposed to work. However, we do have i.wow.com and that still works great. It's optimized for iPhones I believe, but it will work for any mobile browser. When people write in about this issue, i.wow.com is what we refer them to and it works out for them pretty much every time, so give it a shot and let us know how it goes.

I have a question!
I'm not on the best connection around and sometimes face disconnections during the evenings. Sometimes this can happen just before a boss is downed. When I get back online and the looting is taking place, if its on group loot I can't take part anymore as I don't get to see the little window.
I don't suppose there is a way to force this back up or a little command so I can roll on the loots? Or has it ever been mentioned to the Dev's if not?

If you raid, the best solution for you is to probably have Master Looter and /roll for gear.
That mechanic is a bit excessive for 5-mans, though.

No such accomidation. However, if you're all passing and free-rolling, all you have to do is wait. Your roll will eventually time out, allowing the loot to be picked up directly off the boss's body.
Or, you could ask your RL to leave it on master loot- all it takes to ruin an evening is someone accidentally clicking Need instead of Pass (which can be a problem for anyone who has their loot windows scaled down). Obviously, you can contact a GM and have the loot transferred, but that can take up to 4-5 hours.

Hi,
I don't have the best connection in the world, but i'm have disconnections on some specifics events.
Mainly is on 25 man raids. All goes normal on 10 man raids or 5 man heroics, but on 25 man... i have disconnections even if is nothing happening, like everybody is waiting before one pull. It's just put me on a situation that i can't progress anymore, i'm stuck on 10 man raids and gear(ok, i don't have all that super gear).
Is anybody having the same problem?

Might i suggest you getting a Minimalist UI (you can get one from wowinterface.com), it sounds like you have to much stuff going on at one time, also clicking on your combat log then right clicking it and putting delete/turn off this window might help you with that issue, its worked wonders for me :P

I'm having a similar problem as some of the commenters. Yesterday in Naxx 25 my girlfriend was continually getting disconnected (we play on the same connection) then when we went to Sarth 25 both of us were getting disconnected every five minutes or so. Pretty stressful, especially when you're tanking a drake (fortunately, the MT saved us from a wipe while we were offline). Is this something know? Remnants from the awful 25 man lag I'd heard so much about?

I'm using a lot addons(omen, recount, bartender4, fubar(and sub-addons), X-Perl, banktitens, actioner, gatherer, cartographer, shockandawe and others).
Any idea for X-perl replacement?

If somebody disconnects, nobody should loot until they log back on. Should solve the problem.

Carcasshoof, id suggest Pitbull for a replacement for X-pearl or you cna also if you a lil tech savvy go for Discord Unit Frame, sry for the late response i kinda forgot about this till i was done with raiding

Reguarding the shift in glyphs...what happens if you want to use a glyph of levitate in both specs? What if you don't care enough about your off spec to get new glyphs each time you switch specs (for instance, keep your holy glyphs when you switch specs to shadow to quest?)
Does it eat up your glyphs anyhow?

the way it works is that when you create your second spec, it opens up six new glyph slots, which start out empty (obviously). you have to fill them, but once you do, they will stay there until you replace them. switching specs changes back to your first set of glyphs, but as long as you're using your two preset specs, the two sets of glyphs will remain there.

I think it saves both sets of glyphs - but you have to have two glyphs in the first place. So you'd have to buy or create two levitate glyphs, and pop one on one spec, one on the other, to have them available for both.

Do you know if Ulduar/3.1 will contain epic gems? I can see them on wowhead, but I know they aren't in game yet.

D.E.H.T.A. (Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals) is actually a reference to P.E.T.A. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), an organization in the real world known for various acts of extremism to (in their view) defend animals from humans. Just as DEHTA is a violent response to poaching in Azeroth (which Azeroth's heroes do an awful lot of), PETA sometimes does some awful weird things to get attention here in the real world - for example, throwing red paint on coats made out of animal fur (which are usually worth a crapload of money).

DEHTA is either biting political commentary of PETA's rather large amount of crazy and tendency to associate with ALF terrorists, or an over-the-top strawman of their mission. Depends on whether you think they are crazy or not.
I personally enjoyed doing the DEHTA quests, because fighting the Nesingwary Lackeys was like being in an episode of Captain Planet.
