Realms are up
The extended maintenance has ended, and it appears most (if not all) realms are up and available for use.Today's extended maintenance was particularly painful for me. I had to do the following, in order:
- Wake up and write The Queue
- Work on a couple other things for WoW Insider
- Clean the cat's box
- Go out to Barns & Noble and buy season 3 of Weeds and a couple books
- Pickup a Strawberry and Cream drink from the Starbucks at B&N
- Come home and take a nap
- Wake up from said nap with my cat stepping on my liver
- Make this post

Just be glad your cat's only stepping on your liver. Mine likes to step on my bladder at 3:00 in the morning when she's hungry and I haven't awakened to her sitting there, staring at me and purring loudly. So, phase 2? Step on bladder.
Yeah. She's a big cat (about the size of a cocker spaniel). You do the math.

I've been at work today hoping that the realms would be back up by the time I got home. This is good news for the 9-5 crowd (EST of course). Gotta work to pay the people to play the game :)

Agreed. I'm glad I have a job and don't sit around Tuesdays waiting for the game to be back up :)

+1. It's nice to be employed.
Though I have been cheating on WoW as of late.
Arras Mar 17th 2009 5:08PM
one hour to go and when I get home, the realms will be up and waiting for me :) sometimes it's good to be gainfully employed (especially now..yikes!)
oh yeah, someone already said it, but get a job hippie!
Amaxe Mar 17th 2009 5:12PM
Hell I wish I had a job even if it meant WoW chose to do its maintenence from 9p to 5a :(
This recession sucks. At least before Christmas I could temp.
bundee Mar 17th 2009 4:19PM

//grinding honor for my deadly belt

If you hadn't left your liver out on the table, maybe the cat wouldn't have stepped on it.
Divni Mar 17th 2009 4:23PM
No ones said it yet?
No?
Ok, I guess I will then ..
Get a job!
Adam Holisky Mar 17th 2009 5:06PM
And what if you're job is to write about WoW all day?

"riding in circles around Dalaran on my mount for hours as I wait for groups to form.
I do that every day also, I swear it's like the daytona 500 in there at some times.
Damn pally's with the crusader aura always pulling ahead .
Tumleren Mar 17th 2009 4:54PM
Highpriest
Just wait for the new Aura Mastery (+100% to all auras - including Crusader = 40% speed) - You ain't seen nothing yet

I read these comments for valuable 'qq'.
Not to hear about your worthless opinions.
Braundo Mar 17th 2009 4:26PM
Your name is accurate, at least.
wmcmorrow Mar 17th 2009 4:40PM
You know, I used to wish that I didn't have to work and could just play wow all day. But now that I think about it, I'd get bored pretty quickly and eventually realize how empty my life is.
Just sayin'.
Fuseitana Mar 17th 2009 4:52PM
There's only 2 kinds of postings on WI that I don't much care for - the movies and the RP. I like all the others, Adam's navel gazings included.
Oh, and the 2 kinds I don't like? I don't read 'em, don't comment on 'em and don't let 'em get under my skin. Dumbass posters on the other hand...
Tyeton Mar 17th 2009 4:56PM
It's pretty funny to see people say they don't give a crap about what you've written....but yet take the time to read it. Wouldn't that fall under irony in the dictionary? or may hipocrasy? LOL
I have to say it might not have been chalk full of great information, but it kept me entertained while being bored at work.
Adam - try having a 90lb lab stepping on you first thing in the morning. That's better than any alarm clock :D
Mike Mar 17th 2009 4:57PM
Grats on having the life of a 6th grader during summer recess.
Tyeton Mar 17th 2009 4:57PM
Geez I must be dozing...can't even type today.
let's try "maybe" instead of "may"
