I view BoE Epix differently.

As stated in this post, Epics are SO EASY to come by, that BoE epics should be sold for profit, to people that play less. With the few exception of BiS BoE's (hunter bracers and Surge Needle Ring come to mind), other BoEs should not be considered regular loot and just rolled on by who will actually use.

When I lead 10s/25s, I run a macro that says BoE epics are going to my guild for Gbank funded repairs (50g/day). If they don't like it, they can leave.

If a BoE drops in a 5 man, I am sure as hell rolling Need on it, and telling everyone else in group to do the same.

Chances are that DK friend of yours will run Naxx this week, and upgrade those shoulders after a wing or two.
