Personally, I would agree that it is largely irrelevant whether an item is BoE or BoP - if it is an upgrade for someone then I have no problem with them having it whatever it is. However, I have occasionally been in groups (thankfully rarely) where this is has been a contentious issue. Generally, if people are so obsessed with making money from selling the item rather than give it to someone who needs it, then I won't stop them rolling need, though I do feel a little sad inside that people have fallen to such a level of avarice.
