With Arena Season 5 expected to close soon, perhaps as early as the release of Ulduar, players now have a small window in which to earn that Gladiator title and what might arguably be the coolest-looking mount in the game. In mount-related news, the Coralshell Turtle was renamed to Sea Turtle, whose tooltip reveals it as the first aquatic mount in the game: "This mount can't move very quickly on land, but she's a great swimmer." Better practice that fishing...

All the comments here are right, its just not fair at all that pvpers get a unique mount for being gladiator. I mean its not as if pvers get any cool mounts from pve. Maybe if they added 2 mount drops from malygos, 2 from sartharion, 5 from raiding/heroic achievements and a mount drop from ulduar id be happy....oh wait....

Going by the comments in this article, PVPers are almost uniformally made of up of incredibly huge asshats.
We need to show some class all around, guys. PVEers are whining, sure, but they've also said time and time again, "We don't think you PVPers don't deserve a unique mount, but we don't want the Frost Wyrm to be PVP-exclusive", and your response is almost entirely "QQ moar baddies". Real nice.

Going from the "welfare epics" and "PVP scrubs" comments I've heard in the past, PVE players aren't exactly diplomats.
I do both. I raid balance and arena feral. I am both. I like both. (What can I say, I like my character and I like this game). There's asshats and dumbasses on both sides.

Yes.
No reason why they couldn't make an armored frost wyrm or something, and make a PVE Frost Wyrm, much like they did for Netherdrakes. Which is precisely what my point was, genius.

Personally I don't give a rat's arse about this mount, but given that flying mounts, let alone 310% flying mounts, are useless in PvP, this just continues the bad joke that is Blizzard's reward system for PvP.

PvEers can use it to travel to instances, PvPers can't use it to travel to the arena.

Release this to coincide with the release of the Icecrown Citadel. Then - give PvP'ers their armored version and us PvE'ers the chance to get it as an Arthas drop. Too much to ask for?

I'll never understand why arena players (who effectively never have to leave a city) need to get a 310% mount...
One of my guildies had a gladiator title & the respective mount, but never bothered to buy the epic flying to use it in the first place...

Also, why do raiders need more than 1 mount? Are you riding 3 at a time everytime you're heading to Naxx or to farm or w/e?

Okay, armored Frost Wrym..? Seriously. This mount needs to be the next netherdrake. Put in a long, annoying, buggy reputation grind just like the netherdrakes had. This mount is way too cool to limit to just a few pvp'ers.

Arena deserves an awesome mount. I felt almost honored when my lower level warlock was ripped apart by a passing rogue on his armored netherdrake in about 2 seconds. (ALMOST honored...) HOWEVER, I do not think that a mount so symbolic of the Wrath content should be exclusive to the top arena teams. If they wanted to give it some kick-ass armor and the 310% speed, then have a slower, un-armored version available for PvEers that'd be great.
Though I'd personally prefer that it NOT be a random drop off Arthas similar to the Phoenix mount was off Kael'thas. The RNG is NOT my friend, as evidenced by the fact that, after nearly 4 months of doing the quests every day (including when there were 2 a day) I still have yet to see that polar bear mount. -_-
Whether we'll see a PvE frostwyrm or not... I'd like to see one but I'm going to remain pessimistic.

I know! First they make us wait for super-expensive sub-par PVP gear that gets obliterated by PVE gear and now they're giving us a mount skin that's probably gonna be recycled at least on 4 different occasions?
I'm quitting PVE for good. Its so difficult to AOE three groups of trash between boss pulls and for what? Crappy epics you cant use everywhere (including ARENA, where PVE EPICS DOMINATE) >:(
