Our good friends in
Sleeper Cartel over on Perenolde are having yet another server party --
Spring Break 2009 is taking place not in Cabo, but Sholazar Basin! As with all of these player-run events, it certainly sounds like fun: they're planning to have free food and drinks, tournaments, and games and contests of all kinds (
last time around, they had trivia contests and scavenger hunts). They're even setting up a "Gnomes Gone Wild" event -- level 1 gnomes are going to be trying to sneak into the party, and it'll be partygoers' responsibility to keep them out.
The party starts this Saturday, March 21st, at 7pm server at
the River's Heart in Sholazar Basin (you could probably make it there with a DK, or they'll have people summoning as necessary, as long as you send them an ingame mail first). As they say, Kel'Thuzad and Malygos will be there next week -- this Saturday, head over to Perenolde and celebrate Spring Break with the Sleepers.

That looks like fun. Its glad to see people setting up fun events in game. I would check it out but I don't really have a high level toon on the server and would feel silly. Also, I have other troubles I would rather cause IRL that day :)

That sounds like fun.
whowhatme Mar 18th 2009 4:09PM
gnomes gone wild, lol.
elstor Mar 18th 2009 4:26PM
I'd love to come, so I'm going to roll an alt.... but, who do I send mail to in advanced to get my summon?
Matazuma Mar 18th 2009 4:27PM
I hope that server is PvP and not normal.
jurm Mar 18th 2009 4:58PM
Perenolde is a normal (not PVP, not RP) server.
(Coincidentally, it's where most of my toons are at currently)

Would it even be possible for a level one to get to Sholazar without dinging level 2 short of being outright summoned? I mean, you "discover" anything on the map in Northrend and you're going to ding that low.

To request a summons roll up an alt prior to the party and send an in-game mail to any Officer of SC.
Guild roster is here:

Darias is the GL and can help arrange summons if you email him in advance!

lols, ya instead of actually going out and socializing with real life pple (oh no!) and partying with your peers, you guys are gonna play the game during spring break, the same thing you do every day. just lol.

"Instead of"? Who said anything about "instead of"?
Kemikalkadet Mar 18th 2009 8:19PM
Because one afternoon is all of spring break...
Darias.Perenolde Mar 18th 2009 7:15PM
@numberonestunna: Really, the point isn't to replace RL socializing. In fact, the guild has from it's inception focused on the fact that RL > WoW. The point really is to find something new and different to do in the game. People complain about no new content, so we occasionally make some...even for just a single night.
@Jonathan: If you're referring to the gnome race, it's more that we only want them to start at level one...not finish. I've done about a dozen of these races (between guildies and parties), and a brand spanking new toon will typically be at least level 2 if not 3 at the finish line.
But for the party in general, yes, feel free to roll a level one toon that night, and message myself, one of my officers, or someone else you might catch on that evening that's in Sholazar. We'll be sure to get you an invite...no matter your level.

Oh man that looks fun.
I think I'll roll a DK and show up. :)
I'm Horde at heart, but this looks like too much fun to pass up!
Darias.Perenolde Mar 18th 2009 7:35PM
And yeah, that's always been a problem with our parties. Every time they roll around, we try to find a way to get the evil bas...err...our friends Horde-side involved but we always end up failing at finding something really good to do.
Typically, we just end up finding a herd of Tauren dancing in nothing but a tabard. And really...we're OK with that.

Summons will be available for lowbie Horde toons. Contact Brighteyez in game.
maeby Mar 18th 2009 11:20PM
ill definitely be stopping by the party
Thastarian Mar 20th 2009 11:38AM
If this is anything like last year's snooze fest, there's no point in going.
Lexiine Mar 20th 2009 8:22PM
Aww, what event was snoozetastic? o_O All the ones I've been to were legendary, I must have missed that one.
epicboyz Mar 21st 2009 1:43PM
Sounds fun! Im gonna roll a dk (Belf chick or Nelf chick....) over there and run around naked! WOOT!!!
Darias.Perenolde Mar 22nd 2009 1:28AM
Thank you one and all for attending. I think we almost had as many off-realmers as we did Perenolde denizens.
Seriously awesome attendance!
...see you in New Avalon (well, the ruins of) for Hallow's End!
