The point really is to find something new and different to do in the game. People complain about no new content, so we occasionally make some...even for just a single night.
@Jonathan: If you're referring to the gnome race, it's more that we only want them to start at level one...not finish. I've done about a dozen of these races (between guildies and parties), and a brand spanking new toon will typically be at least level 2 if not 3 at the finish line.
But for the party in general, yes, feel free to roll a level one toon that night, and message myself, one of my officers, or someone else you might catch on that evening that's in Sholazar. We'll be sure to get you an invite...no matter your level.
