The dragon mating dance is a complex and fragile ritual. Once it starts, it's extremely dangerous for anyone to stop it, as both dragons will explode if interrupted. Bystanders have to learn to just ignore it, even if it's taking place in the middle of Dalaran. In fact, it's so easy to mess up that only a handful of whelps are born to a dragon in a lifetime, and most of those are either killed for their skins or sold into capitivity for thousands of gold. Wait, are you wearing dragonscale armor? And is that a whelpling by your side? You killed its mother ... and now you force it to watch you slaughter others, clad in her hide? Monster!
