Heilig Mar 24th 2009 1:08PM
Sure hope her blog can handle the bandwidth she's about to get slammed with.
Xerous Mar 24th 2009 1:18PM

At least all these hits will generate some funds and help towards an upgrade, lol.
Morcego Mar 24th 2009 2:28PM
We could post it on Digg and Slashdot too, to make things easier :)

once this loads I'll be super excited for it, just about got my resto set built so I'm nearly ready to heal.
combined with this:

should be everything I need to get started.

Apparently this person who has the website doesn't realize you cannot use shared hosting with IGXEhosting and expect to pull huge numbers in bandwidth.
GO VPS or Dedicated; otherwise you are kinda SOL.
Cyanea Mar 24th 2009 1:43PM
Everyone's gotta start SOMEWHERE.
Rugus Mar 24th 2009 1:31PM
Dunno about the website (it does not even load) but the Tattoo... is just *horribly* done.

ABOUT THE TATTOO:
We read your rants about this tattoo and others back in January. You don't need to repeat them again. It's old news. There's nothing more that needs to be said about it. These aren't the 'droids you're looking form. You can go about your business. Move along.

ABOUT THE BANDWIDTH:
There is a huge surge in bandwidth at the moment due to the fact that it is being featured here on WoW Insider. In a few days, it will be back to a manageable level; therefore, there's no need to chide Lissanna about it, nor rant that the site must suck because it won't load.
WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY-SCHEDULED FLAME-THROWING.

Here's my quality feedback:

Get a better host, you shouldn't be having this issue. Go with a smaller hosting firm that will help you when you have issues like this :)
Additionally I am getting 500 internal errors which are typically a suphp issue with file ownership possible the host made the site inaccessible because of the load.
For anyone who wants to see the site :
http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:rZyxzL4eFWsJ:www.restokin.com/+http://restokin.com&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
It's slow but it works.
pinkysan Mar 24th 2009 2:04PM
next time, i hope you guys notify the ppl before you slash-dot their servers down, as much as it's good intention to promote them. ^.^
I look forward to the site when it's back up through.

Maybe someone should send her some tips on how to properly host a website, if she truly is trying to fill phelia's boots.
Lavata Mar 24th 2009 2:40PM
So any good recommendations on a decent VPS host.
I came across RapidVPS and VPSland but don't know much about them at the moment.
This is not Lissanna, but it is my hosting account from which her blog is hosted.
nbcaffeine Mar 24th 2009 2:58PM
I use vpsland for personal things, and I haven't had any issues that they didn't promptly fix. However, if you're starting out new there, their choice of OSes are dated. The latest ubuntu offering was from 2007. You can upgrade manually, but I really liked the rapid redeployment of various OSes. What more would you expect for like $15/mo though?
Had my account there for several years after coming and going at about a dozen other places, YMMV of course.
