Rumor: The9 to lose WoW in China

An insider source, however, noted otherwise. Blizzard is said to have been unhappy with The9's performance over the past four years, and posed higher requirements in their renegotiation with the Chinese company. Recent troubles with the Chinese government in securing approval for Wrath of the Lich King hasn't helped matters, and The9 is facing bankruptcy should Wrath fail to get past China's censorship laws and negotiations fall apart. The online game operator gets 90 percent of their profits from managing World of Warcraft in China. The9 has refused to comment, only saying that negotiations have not been finalized.

The Chinese on the main page (before the jump) is incorrect.
(Nei4 bu4 neng2 shi4 hao3)
That no can be good [Literal]
Sounds nearly ok in English, but the Chinese do not use the verb 'to be' (shi4) in this manner. It has to do with "hao3" being a kind of verb/adjective combination known as a stative verb.
The Chinese after the jump is better.
Kudos!

Well, I understand this is only going to shut down gold spam in China (and everything else...), but at least if this is passed gold sellers will lose at least half of their supply.
Now, what shall we do about the other gold sellers?

still don't think china has 7mil though...
on another note
那不好 is more like "that isn't good"
the 件 in "那件不可能好吧" isn't need, its a measure word but there is no noun for it to refer to directly (i know thing/event is implied...but if you want to have 件 you'd still have to write it out)
那不可能好 sounds better
or you can say 那不可能是好事 "that can't be a good thing"
you can also say
肯定不好 "definitely not good"

Could have just said "na bu hao" and called it a day, but machine language translators usually just do literal word-by-word translations. I like that there are so many people on here learning Mandarin though..."hao hao xue xi, tian tian xiang shang!" Zhu ni men hao yun. :)

Gotta prepare for the eventual arrival of our future overlords.

There are other countries that play you know. Singapore, Australia, Indonesia etc. Besides, even if China is half the player base, they definitely account for way less than half the revenue.
