A Gnome
Death Knight appropriately named
Nutshell from Mug'thol reported on the forums that he had completed the requirements for the upcoming
Achievement Insane in the Membrane. The Achievement, to be implemented in
Patch 3.1, requires a character to gain Exalted reputation with the Steamwheedle Cartel (Everlook, Booty Bay, Ratchet, and Gadgetzan), Darkmoon Faire, Ravenholdt, the Shen'dralar, and Honored with the Bloodsail Buccaneers. Unlocking this Achievement also rewards the fitting title 'the Insane', arguably one of the
cooler titles in the new patch.
Most of the faction reputations listed aren't easy to grind, particularly the little known Ravenholdt faction in Hillsbrad Foothills. Most players who have been playing for years are unlikely to have considerable reputation with them nor the come-and-go Darkmoon Faire and the Dire Maul-based Shen'dralar. It's an impressive feat for any character, and even more impressive for a Death Knight -- Nutshell might possibly be the first one to complete it. Considering
Loremaster Nutshell has 5870 Achievement points to date, it's probably not that surprising the player made the grind. To all of this, Bornakk simply responded,
"you're insane."Tags: Achievements, Bloodsail-Buccaneers, Booty-Bay, Cypress-Hill, Darkmoon-Faire, Death-Knight, Everlook, Gadgetzan, Insane-in-the-Membrane, Nutshell, patch-3.1, patch31, ptr, ptr-3.1, ptr-patch-3.1, public-test-realm, Ratchet, Ravenholdt, Shendralar, The-Insane, wow-patch-3.1, wow-ptr

I have been working on this too. My Bloodsail is Honored, The goblins rep is back up to honored, Revanholdt is Revered, I have most of the books collected for the Shen'dralar.
On another note 100 quests from Loremaster. Not that hard to be honest, Just time.

Anyone who gets this achievement definately deserves the title of "insane". Very cool title. However, I also think if a Death Knight gets such a title after only 5 months of the class. They should also get the title of no-life loser.

About that loremaster... Double-check to make sure you don't do any of the quests that nuke your bloodsail rep.
drahkul Mar 25th 2009 5:10PM
screw that, i'll keep my Admiral title
Edanas Mar 25th 2009 5:21PM
You still keep your Admiral title. You have to be Honored with Bloodsail AND be Exalted with the goblins at the SAME time. That is partly why you get the insane title.
JPN Mar 25th 2009 5:36PM
I don't think you have to have them all exalted at the same time.
Kakistocracy Mar 25th 2009 5:37PM
I think he meant it wasn't worth the work to him to go for "The Insane".
greatone316 Apr 1st 2009 6:54PM
why do all that work. i have a cool title already
Hoggersbud Mar 25th 2009 5:10PM
In a nut-shell...he's insane!

How is this more impressive for a Death Knight Zach? They have a distinct advantage because they don't have to sacrifice Goblin Rep. I'm already reveared with Goblins, so would have to regrind all the way back up for a 2nd time.
Which isnt to say this is not impressive, props to him for getting probably the hardest achievement in the game :)

@Kolo
"Which isnt to say this is not impressive, props to him for getting probably the hardest achievement in the game :)"
Seriously, what game are you playing. Amount of time spent on achievement does not make it hard. This is one of the easy achievements just takes long.
Try achievements like Glory of the hero or glory of the raider, those require some skill atleast.
Kolo Mar 26th 2009 7:57AM
No, that just takes being in a good guild (not difficult if you're in one of the most populated realm in the EU).
This takes SOLO effort. and yes time is a commodity few people have plenty of, which in my eyes does make it dificult. I've worked on many of these factions, and it's mind numbingly boring.
All of this is subjective. I find this achievement hardest. I find PvE easy, but suck at even some of the most basic PvP achievements.
No need to get your panties in a knot over it, QQ less, etc.

That pic is awesome :D
also the title does fit that DK, still /nerdrespect

...Been fed by drugs.

No, Edanas. You simply have to have had your rep at honored for the BSB at a point. As far as I know there is no possible way you can have SWC and BSB exalted at the same time. If you have the title already, you automatically qualify for the BSB portion.
Zerokku Mar 25th 2009 5:35PM
No, Cillus. It's been proven on the ptr you have to have your bloodsail at honored while you have the steamwheedle cartel exalted at the same time. This is done by doing single repeatable quest in Dire maul for 350 rep.
Edanas Mar 25th 2009 5:35PM
BSB does not have to be exalted, but it is possible to be honored with BSB and Exalted with SWC. Thats why I am still honored with BSB and Honored with SWC.

I"m not 100% sure, but I think you can do both at the same time. You can grind your rep with the bloodsail like normal, then do the repeatable quest 'Free Knot' in Dire Maul. It awards Steamwheedle rep, but doesn't affect the Bloodsail rep.
You may want to check to be sure, but I thought that was how it worked.
Cillus Mar 25th 2009 5:41PM
My mistake.
Cedrich Mar 25th 2009 5:33PM
Our realm's resident nutcase is almost there, he's grinding his goblin reps back up (yes, back up, he had Steamwheedle exhalted before). Scary thing is, he had most of it done before this achievement was even announced.
Madness.
