I found this a nice article to read to get a rogue perspective on things. However, a lot of went in circles and doesn't make a lot of sense.
You state, "Rogues are still able to defeat our traditional opponents. Most casters, and many physical damage dealers will fall when ambushed from stealth.." Then you bemoan the lack of caster defenses you have. It's not enough that "most" fall, you need all of them to?
You state, "While our ability to evade damage has been part of our class' definition, it has reached the point where we can no longer be balanced around the idea of using our cooldowns to survive." Then you request buffs to your cooldowns. Do you want all these skillful cooldowns or not?
Etc.
The reason your survivability is down is because Arena is filled to the brim with DKs and Paladins. These classes give everyone trouble. In BC, rogues could pretty much control every situation. Because of burst and "balancing", the torch has passed to another class.
Sorry. At least you have all that skill that everyone widely agrees you have.
